Rejected By The Beta

Chapter 1

The sound of glass breaking was enough to wake me up from my deep slumber, checking the time I noticed it was eight o'clock
"Shit Shit Shit!" I murmured to myself as I put on my slippers and robe, exiting my room I ran down the stairs and made my way to the sound.

"Where the fuck are you Victoria!" A voice called, running to the living room I immediately recognized the voice with my head down in a submissive position I spoke

"Good morning Jason." I whispered, Jason. Was the third in command of the pack, not as high ranking as the Beta but still we had to show respect

"There you are, Why weren't you at the meeting this morning? You where the only member who didn't show up, Why?" He asked, slowly looking up I looked into his dark brown eyes and quickly averted my gaze

"I-I'm sorry, I over slept I caught a really bad headache yesterday and I lost track of time." I told him still staring at the floor, taking a quick peek I lifted my head slightly only to see his fists clenched

"Vic listen, I'm not like the Beta and Alpha, when I'm alone with you, you don't have to fear me." He took a step forward and I flinched looking up

"T-Then why where you breaking my vases?" I asked him gathering the courage that my wolf lend me

"Andrew sent a warrior with me, I told him to leave, please Vic you might be an Omega but you can't let people push you around like this. Stand up for your self more as you'll see that people will treat you differently, bond with your wolf and she will lent you the courage." Taking his advice I looked up at him boldly and smiled

"There you go, now Vic tonight we have the Alphas birthday party so the whole pack is attending that was the first thing, and remember the attack that happened years ago?" He asked, I nodded unable to forget that night

"How could I forget, that's the night my family was killed." He looked at me and sighed, before I knew it I was in his embrace

"How could I forget, You asked me for help and I ignored you.. It's all my fault Vic I'm sorry." He whispered into my ear, gently pushing him away I looked up at him smiling

"It wasn't your fault, I was too weak and scared to do anything by my self. Don't burden your life with my mistakes." I told him giving him a brave smile, he sighed and continued

"The Alpha has finally confirmed that his mate is dead, it's a tragedy but tonight on his birthday he's looking for a mate." Shrugging I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed my broom and started sweeping the glass shard on the floor

"Why are you telling me this? It's not like in going to be a candidate, or did you forget that I'm the lowest ranking wolf in this goddamn world before rogues?" He sighed and headed to the door

"Vic just go to his party, you don't want to get in trouble for some dumb choice.. And stop letting others push you around." He called leaving my house. After that exhausting conversation i threw away the glass and ran upstairs to choose a dress, I can't say that there's not a bit of excitement in me, it's my first time attending one of these events. My mom never let me because she thought I would get bullied but today I'll prove her wrong with the strength that my wolf had lent me I wouldn't let others shove me around like a rag doll.

The rest of the day flew by so quickly by the time I finished my house work it was already time for the ball. The dress I ended up choosing was a strapless beige dress, it was beige on the top and the bottom was a Aqua blue color and it was short in the front and long in the back. Grabbing some silver heels to go along with the dress my outfit was finally complete, putting on a bit of mascara and eyeliner I grabbed my phone and headed out to the ball.

With my head spinning with anticipation and my finger tapping my sides, every step felt like an hour walk until I finally reached the ball room. In Front of me stood a dome shaped building with a couple of white pillars in front, and in between stood two double doors with guards In Front. Cautiously waking up to the door, I bowed my head to them and they bowed back opening the doors. Walking inside I stood there flabbergasted, a beautiful silver chandelier was dangling from the roof and in the middle of the room there laid a red velvet carpet leading to a thrown. Walking down the stairs I made my way to the corner and stared at the women walking in with beautiful gowns

I don't belong here... I thought to myself playing on my phone
What do you mean? Show more pride in yourself, look at everyone dance and don't run away. Stop standing here feeling sorry for yourself and get out there and mingle! My wolf screamed, I groaned and looked back up. People where gracefully dancing in the middle of the room while others chatted by the snacks table, standing there like the odd man... Or woman out it twiddle my thumbs and stared straight ahead with my mouth watering, the snacks looked so delicious! A man slowly walked into view and all the women in the room flocked him, he looked intimidating and full of authority

Alpha! My wolf growl, ignoring him my view wondered over to the man behind him. My heart started to pound at a faster and fiercer pace, as I stared at him. I probably looked like a creep but to me it didn't matter, all that mattered right now was that I was in the same room as my mate. He wondered away from the Alpha which was when I made my move, slowly I wondered to him and stood in his way... CASUALLY, he walked forward bumping into me just as planned and turned to face me

"I'm sorry, are you ok?" He asked offering me his hand, I happily accepted it and sparks gently tickled my hand with the brief contact, after getting up I slowly peeked up to look at his face, he looked at his hand shocked at then looked at me.

"No, No No No-" was all he kept saying, confused I looked up at him and touched his shoulder
"What's wrong?" I asked, snapping out of his daze he looked at my hand and shoved it away, looking at him I carefully took a step forward and moved my hand back onto his shoulder

"Don't touch me!" He screamed

"Why?" I asked him gripping my hands tightly

"You can't be my mate." He said to himself his face still full of shock

"What's wrong with me being your mate?" I asked him almost not wanting to hear the answer to my question, 'almost'

"Your an Omega! I don't want such a low life wolf as my mate!" He told me with a growl

"We just found each other, you don't know me... And this is how you treat me?!" I screamed at him causing for everyone's eyes to turn to us

"No this can't happen!" He screamed at me, shaking my head in disapproval, with my mind and body finally realizing what was about to happen tears started welling up in my eyes

"Please Please... Oh god no... Give me time to get to know you please you can't do this!" I begged reaching for his arm, roughly pulling away he looked down at me with distant eyes

"I Andrew Clark reject you, Victoria Miller as my mate and deny you from position of Beta female of the Blood Moon pack!" His words tore at my heart as I desperately held onto the sleeve of his shirt, his icy cold eyes staring down at mine.

"You got your answer, now leave you pathetic piece of trash!" He growled at me, completely dumbfounded I gripped his shirt tighter

"B-B-But your my mate! Your suppose to love me!" I wailed falling onto my knees
"I gave you your answer no one wants you, some one get this bitch off me!" He roared, two men rushed towards us and yanked me away from him, powerless and heart broken I was dragged away from the only person in this world that was suppose to love me.
