the next day we woke up and headed to the tower stopping at the guild to let eina know I was going in when she said, "I think I found a job for your brother, it's a small construction business but they are in need of a helping hand for a bit with running errands and stuff like that."

I look at Shiro "what do you think?" he puffs his chest "I can't let you do all the work!"

I smile and rub his head before leaving and going into the dungeon.

I make it to the stop I made it to yesterday, fighting a few goblins along the way I fared better against them today than I did yesterday.

The now-familiar sound of crumbling dirt starts to surround me as a new wave of monsters appears, eight of them. Drawing my sword, I quickly stab as many as I could before that were all out completely. I manage to kill four before the rest made it out.

I quickly dodge an attack from the side and hit it with my shield and raise the shield to block a club, with the club blocked I quickly stab it in the stomach and turn to the remaining three.

The fight continued and I was down to the last one when all of a sudden, a ball of fire misses me from behind, quickly I end the one in front of me and look behind me, it was another goblin but, in a robe, and bones, it releases another fireball I duck under it and race to the goblin and with a swing of the sword it turns to dust.

I breathe heavily, a bit scrapped but fine. I take a quick look around and seeing nothing I sit down. Well, the monsters have magic now and I don't. That's just not fair. Great. They're going to be a pain in my ass, aren't they?

I stand up and after taking a quick walk around to make sure I have all the crystals, head deeper into the dungeon.

A few hours have passed, and I stop to eat lunch which was cheese and bread. As I eat, I call out the index and bring up my status.

[mana: 0]

Not bad I guess, welp, I rested long enough. For the rest of the day, I continued to kill all the monsters that appeared, changing my strategy from time to time when a shaman showed up.

Shiro once again met me as I walked out, both of us covered in dirt and tired but happy to see each other.

"How was your first day bud?" I ask him as we get dinner.

"Good! I think. I mostly got things for them like nails, hammers, lunch. Stuff like that." I mess with his hair "good."

For the next few weeks was continued with that routine, me in the dungeon and him doing small jobs. Both of us saving up money, I have made my way through the second, and third floors, the second floor is where I met my first Kobold, that was fun.

~{flashback}~

I wipe the sweat from my brow as I stand up, I just finished some goblins and figured it would be a good time to take a break when a growl comes from behind me.

I quickly turn only to be greeted by an attack on my arm, which tears my armor and cuts my skin. Thankfully, it was not my sword arm, sadly it means my shield arm was much weaker.

The creature humanized a dog that was just a tad smaller than me. It rushes at me again going for a bite, I raise the shield making it bit that instead, with its mouth caught on the shield it uses its claw, trying to claw at my face.
