chapter 2

The first thing I noticed upon waking up is that we were in the forest, birds sing and a gentle breeze, serene. Shiro lays asleep on my lap, his clothe slightly changed, I look at my clothes and they as well had some changed. My tennis shoes are now leather boots, and my graphic t-shirt was now a wool shirt. But my jeans and hoody were the basically same but with buttons then zippers.

A two bag lays next to us and upon opening the bag see the contents inside:

· Pair of clothes for us,

· 2x knives,

· bread,

· few coins,

· 2x bracelets with gems on them

· One-piece folded paper

Picking up the paper I open it and read.

Hey, it's me, the guy who gave you new life, who you also named bob.

So here some quick tips and hints.
you are in a land called danmachi and I landed you near the city of Orario, I put you near a road which will get you there in a bit.
I am not going to tell you much but there are monsters here, but most live in the Dungeon.
Also, there are gods here.
I'll let you figure the rest out.

The money system is a little confusing but goes like this:
(A/N: explains money because I do not understand it)
it is confusing and messed up I know, kind of like the old British money system, but I'm sure you will get the hang of it.

What. The. Hell.

Just for a moment, I think this was a dream but with one pinch and that thought quickly disappeared. After a moment, I shake Shiro awake. "hey Shiro, time to get up."

He sits but and rubs his eyes, "Kyla? I had a weird dream." "yeah? About what?" "We were walking and then we were in space and we died" I wince, better rip the band-aid off "sorry bud that wasn't a dream."

"oh...where are we," he asked after getting up and looking around. "you know those shows we would watch? Were the heroes would go to a new world?" he nods his head "well that's what happened to us, this is our new "home" now."

He is silent.

Oh god. Did I choose wrong? Did he not want this to happen! I should have woken him up and asked him! my train of thought was broken by Shiro "that. Is. Awesome!" I let out a sigh of relief.

"you are taking this a lot better than I thought you would Shiro. Aren't you sad?" I ask him as I stand.

"...maybe a little but everyone was a jerk and uncle was a dick, this could be better though! And you are here with me Kyla!" he says with a big smile. I guess I worried too much for no reason.

Quickly we found the road and trusting the sharp jab in my head that I got when I started walking on the road, we see the city of orario. "it's huge/it's big!" we both said as we gaze at the gigantic city, it goes for miles with giant walls surround it. But the thing that caught our attention was the tower in the middle of the city. It was taller than any buildings back on earth.

We continued forward.

After a bit, we made it to the gates of the city. Before we could enter, we had to pay a fee, "you must pay before entering the city, are you visiting or planning to stay?" I start grabbing money "staying" "that would be a 100 valis to enter, and head to the guild to your papers." I nod and while grabbing Shiro's hand enter Orario.
