"I don't regret, just pretend shit never happened"
"Hey Jimin, I'm heading out with Yoongi want us to bring you back anything?" Taehyung poked his head through Jimins closed door and watched the others back waiting for a response.
Jimin simply sat hunched over his desk focused on the whatever he was writing on the dozens of sheets of paper he had spread out.
"Chim!" Tae once again said, but now shouted to get the boys attention.
"Huh, oh sorry," Finally the blonde haired boy turned and with a spaced out expression looked at his bestfriend.
"Going out with Yoongi, want anything?" He laughed as he repeated himself.
"No I'm fine, I need to get back to my work." Jimin shook his head and began to turn back over to his desk before Taehyung spoke once more.
"You have to leave this room you know... I know you have been really focused on song writing, but how about your friends Jimin? When was the last time you dressed up in something besides sweats?"
It's been simply a few days since the "incident" despite that Jimin was still fueled by the taunting words Jungkook told him.
-
[1:04 am]"Do you even love me Jungkook!"
"Maybe I don't!"
In a cold sweat Jimin sat up on his bed wide awake, his nights felt longer and his mind was constantly banging.
Jin and Tae brought pastries to cheer him up, but that was only a temporary bandage on the open wound he held. Jimin heard and saw the videos of Yoongi and Jungkook... he would saw he was surprised, but he knew Yoongi would do something like that. What did shock him was Jungkook, it was as if he transformed into a stranger. No longer the once Jimin loved years ago, not the one who ignored him months ago, but a horrendous cold hearted one.
Jimin looked out his window, it was to early for the sun to rise.
The darkness overshadows the light. The deep dark sky engulfed the sun until it was finally time to rise and shines through the earth.
"Be as bright as the sun.." Jimin mumbled to himself.
Glancing at his phone he saw the time was still bright an early, but more importantly under that was a notification.
Four days until the party they would have to perform at...
Four days for Jimin the find his glow and shine on stage.
So he spend every second of the day righting, practicing, and rereading the lyrics he wrote on random pieces of paper.
However, not all pieces are perfect. The trash bin soon was overflowing with crunched up papers and wouldn't be emptied until Taehyung checked up on Jimin.
It was a prolonged cycle
-
"I called Somi earlier and there is nothing wrong with my sweats, for your information." Jimin lightly laughed and redirected his focus to the paper ifront of him.
"Come on min! I heard they have a open mic at the cafe today? Jin's been wanting to see you too, why don't you go?." The artist practically pleaded his roommate to leave his room that he's been cooped up in.
"If I go will you stop barging into my room unannounced?" Jimin had a slight smile as he raised up an eyebrow.
With a moment of hesitation Tae finally nodded, "Fine." Before he turned back out the door and got ready to leave with Yoongi who Jimin suspected something of their relationship, yet chose to ignore.
The second his roommate left the room Jimin was now left with a mew set of issues. Going to open mic night, of course he wouldn't have to perform anything right?
-
Wrong.
Dressed in black jeans, a plain white T-shirt, and a leather jacket Jimin entered the slightly crowded the familiar cafe. Like a magnet Jin made his way through the busy room and practically ran up to Jimin with wide eyes.
"Thank god you're here!" The barista panted in exhaustion.
"Not quite the welcome I expected, but Hey." Jimin laughed in amusement as he glanced around the room taking in the scenery.
"Of course I'm happy you're here.. I was worried you died in your room for a second." He playfully joked before Jimin heard Jin's name being called out and watched the other look back for a second before glancing back at Jimin. "Before we catch up, I need a huge favor from you!"
"Sure-"
"Great!" Jin didn't hesitate as he pulled Jimin through the crowd to the back of the room where the staff room was located. On the way Jin explained his problem, "One of our acts dropped out last minute so we need a replacement. I know you might be in a tough spot right now, but I would really love you to perform Jimin. Plus my Job kinda depends on how well tonight goes."
Seeming overwhelmed and shocked Jimin simply stared at Jin as if he had two heads.
"You want me to what?" He asked.
"Perform."
"I don't even have anything to perform! I'm sorry, but I can't." Almost about to walk away Jin grabbed Jimin's hand and pleaded once more.
"If you perform Ill give you free coffee the rest of the year! Please, we have a big crowd and Tae told me you write songs all day long? How about one of those?"
Seeing his friend clearly in distress and how much Jin has helped him the past months. Jimin finally nodded in agreement before he brushed his hands through his blonde colored hair. With a heavy sigh he answered, "Fine, but i expect a slice of red velvet cake and coffee before I go up!"
"Deal! I'll have it at your table in 5 minutes, plus we can catch up while you wait for your time slot."
