Percy's POV
When they reached the end of the stairs, Percy pulled Annabeth back by the hand until Jason and Piper each got to their separate rooms. He then turned and faced his confused looking girlfriend, grabbing her other hand while doing so. They did nothing but stare at each other, trying to figure out what each of them were thinking, but for the first time they couldn't.

Percy sighed then shook his head. He was trying to calm down so he wouldn't explode on Annabeth, but he was trying to reassure himself too.

"You won't leave me right?" He asked, looking deeply into her eyes again.

"Percy, I would never, ever even think of leaving you. I already told you tha-" She got interrupted by Hazel and Frank walking down the stairs.

"Guys, sorry for cutting your conversation off," Hazel said. "But Annabeth, what happened before we got there?"

Annabeth raised her eyebrows, then said, "Nothing, really. It's not that big of a deal, I was just overreacting. Sorry, if it scared anyone. You guys should really get to bed, it's getting late."

Hazel and Frank nodded their heads and each headed off to their rooms. Percy scoffed and yanked Annabeth up the stairs, not even thinking if he was hurting her because of his anger building.

"'Not a big deal'?" Percy mocked, while yelling at her in a hushed yet scary tone. "How is it nothing and how were you overreacting? You had every right to be crying. Luke Castellan, the person who tried to kill you while hurting you emotionally. It's stupid to think that you were overreacting and it stupid to lie."

"Why are you hiding everything from us?! We deserve to know, this quest isn't all about you, you know! You're switching sides, aren't you?" Percy scoffed.

"Percy, why would I ever switch sides? I've always been on the right side and I've never switched. I know that Luke is on the wrong side, and I've told you before that I would stay with you. What is wrong with you?" Annabeth screamed at Percy, while tears fled down her face.

Realization hit Percy as if bricks were tumbling onto him. He hurt her. What was he thinking? He wasn't even thinking how could he be so stupid?! He loves her with all his heart and this is what he says. He knows she would always be good. He knows it. He just was so mad, that he didn't think.

While Percy was mentally scolding himself, Annabeth turned and started to walk away. "Annabeth, wait. I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of it."

She kept walking towards the stairs.

"Please, Annabeth I'm sorry for pulling you up the stairs. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm sorry I said all of that stupid stuff. I didn't mean it."

She was almost running down the stairs.

"Annabeth!" Percy begged and begged and begged until they reached her door. She turned around once to show hat her cheeks were tear-stained.

"I need to be alone." She said firmly.
She then entered her room, slamming the door in Percy's face.

"I-I'm sorry." He whispered, before he fell to the ground in a fetal position and started sobbing uncontrollably.
