Percy's POV
It had been about five days after Percy and Annabeth had gotten out of Tartarus, and they were still having the nightmares. He wanted to help Annabeth so badly, but she kept holding back. He was really worried about her. All she had done since they got back was stay away from everyone in her room. Whenever Percy would knock on her door and ask if he could help, she would just tell him she was fine and close the door.

But she obviously wasn't.

And Percy had problems of his own that he had to figure out. Ever since he had killed that aura and cursed him with some kind of pain, the pain had just went from slightly bad to excruciating. And it was non-stop. He tried to keep it hidden so none of the other seven would think he was weak or hurt, but that plan was kind of shattered when it got really bad all of a sudden when they were eating dinner with Hazel, Frank, Jason, Piper and Leo.

"Okay, so we will get to Athens tomorrow around seven or eight," Leo guessed. "But I think it would be a good idea to fly over the city a few times to see what we're up against."

Jason nodded, "Yeah, I guess that could work. We just need to make sure if we get attacked, that we don't use up all of the cannons." Jason said with a worried look on his face. Goodness, what is up with this guy and all of his "What-if's"?

"Are you doubting me?!" Leo said with an irritated look.

"No, it's just I don't want to be unprepared for the real battle."

Leo huffed out of aggravation, then started doodling on a napkin. Percy looked at him skeptically because Leo wasn't tapping his finger, shaking his leg and he didn't really have that twinkle in his eye like he usually did. He also had bags under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept for days, and instead of joking around he always seemed worried about something. Percy was really wondering what ha happened to him while he and Annabeth weren't there.

Percy didn't realize he was staring until Leo looked up from his food, and glared at him. He was so surprised that Leo could actually glare better then anyone else he knew, besides Annabeth, that he immediately looked back down at his pizza. Percy realized that he hadn't gotten blue pizza and started to feel guilty about not calling or iris-messaging her, and not telling her that he was okay and that he loved her. He started eating his pizza mournfully, until his beautiful girlfriend walked in without a word.

"Hey, Annabeth!" Percy greeted. "Where've you been?"

While he was giving her his famous lopsided grin, she scowled at him, momentarily. His grin suddenly turned into a frown. She say down right next him and his grin returned, then went away so he could try and work some of his magic.

"Okay, can you please talk to me? You haven't said a word to me in the past twenty-four hours, and it's killing me!" Percy said, with his signature puppy dog eyes.

"Yes, I can talk to you, but I choose not to because my throat hurts." She said with an apologetic look on her face.

"Awww. Do you want a kiss to make it feel better?"

"No. I want food. I didn't have lunch today."

"Oh, come on! How about a hug?"

"No."

"A fist-bump?"

"No."

"A thumbs up?"

"No."

"How about a-"

"I just want food, Percy! Is that too much to ask?" Annabeth interrupted, with her eyebrows raised.

"Well, you could have just said so." He explained as he handed her a plate of pizza and received a glare from Annabeth.

"Thanks," she muttered before taking one large bite out of her pizza. After she said that, Percy realized everyone was staring at them with questioning looks plastered on their faces. Hazel, surprisingly, was the first one to come out of her trance.

"Annabeth, have you gotten a lot of sleep lately? You look kind of tired." She observed with more of a demanding tone then anything else.

"Kind of. It's been kind of hard though because of all of the nightmares."

Jason was the next one to speak, "I'm sorry about that. Well, since your here, I guess you want to here the plan for tomorrow, since we're getting to Athens in the evening."

"Wow. I can't believe we're that close. And yeah. I'd like to hear the plans." Jason then explained the plans to Annabeth while she occasionally nodded.

"That sounds good. Who made the plan?" She asked, looking sincerely stumped. Wow, she really must not be getting a lot of sleep if she's that easily stumped.

"Me!" Leo answered with a smug look on his face. Annabeth's eyes practically popped out of her head.

"Seriously?" Her voice cracked when she said that because of her sore throat.

"Yup. All in the mind of Leo Valdez." He exclaimed with a smile on his face. He gasped, "Oh! I need to go... do something." He stated with a look that basically said, I-really-hope-you-guys-buy-that.

"What do you need to do?" Frank asked. Percy seriously wondered how that kid wasn't ADHD, because at some points he was pretty impulsive.

"Nothing." Leo practically yelled a little too quickly. Everyone gave him a look. "Okay, I want to be honest with you guys.... I can't tell you."

The seven asking things like, "What, Why?" Or "That's what you think honesty is?" And a couple of sighs, glares and rolling of the eyes.

Leo was standing at the door now and was trying to back out, when Piper said, "Well, you guys can figure this without me. I'm going to take a shower."

"Yeah, me too." Hazel said.

"Okay, that'll work." Leo told them, when everyone started getting up.

"Hey, Annabeth. Do you want to just sit and talk up on the deck? I've been really bored lately and I want to spend some time with you." Percy said with hope to talk to her.

"That would be great, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth answered with a smile.

"Are you sure you guys are gonna be just talking or is there going to involve some kissing around there?" Jason asked with a smirk on his face and jokingly punched Percy in the arm, but then the pain started to come back.

He grimaced and closed his eyes tight. Tears started streaming out of his head and he started to hyperventilate. He knew everyone was staring at him, but he couldn't help his actions because of the stabbing pain in his chest.

"Oh, gods, Percy. I'm sorry i didn't mean to hit you that hard." Jason apologized for something that was way worse then that.

Percy opened his eyes and said, with effort, "Jason it wasn't your fault. It's this..." He grimaced again. "It's this curse thing from an aurai...." He shut his eyes again letting a new set of tears flow out. He felt Annabeth's hand on his shoulder and heard fading voices in the background asking him something, but they kept fading. He opened his eyes one last time, and got dizzy. He felt himself falling back.

Then everything went black.
