Annabeth's POV

When Jason realized Piper was acting weird, Annabeth almost screamed at Jason. Ever since she and Percy had gotten back, she felt that cold chill she had before when they went to the Roman camp. But she knew that it wasn't the eildelons. Piper had taken care of them. But now she seemed so distant. She hoped Jason could fix that.

Annabeth ran her fingers through her messy blonde hair and said, "Well, I'm gonna tell Leo he can do whatever he needed to work on. I'll take watch."

Percy's face brightened, "Do you need me to come?"

"Percy, I just need some alone time, if that's okay." She gave him the sweetest smile she could muster.

His face darkened immediately, but he said, "Okay, but if ANY monsters or any sort of threat comes yell as loud as you can, okay? Promise me that. Please?"

"Don't worry you'll be the first to know." She said with a genuine smile.

"Makes me feel better. Knowing you'll call for me if you need help." Percy smiled. "But after you take watch your spending the rest of the day with me, alright? Is that clear?"

This made Annabeth laugh, "Of course, seaweed brain. Always."

"Always." Percy said.

"Bye" Then she left without another word.

****************************************

She saw Leo standing near Festus, their flaming dragon head. He was just looking out towards the horizon, obviously thinking about something. She thought she would surprise him if she talked so she almost started talking when he turned around and smiled.

"Hey, Annabeth. What's up?" He said without real curiosity.

"Nothin really. I just wanted to ask you if I could take watch. I just need some time to myself." She said hoping it would do the job.

"You know what? That would be great! I really need to work on that..... That thing I'm working on. Thank you!!!!"

He thanked her by running up, hugging her and then sprinting down below deck.

"He's hiding something, Festus. Do you know what it is? I promise I won't tell anyone if you tell me." Annabeth tried persuasion but.... You know he's a metal dragon. He may be just a figure head but he still had part of a neck, so he did his best to shake his head.

"Fine." She lost hope knowing she wasn't going to get anywhere. And even if he was going to tell her, Annabeth wouldn't have any idea on what he was saying. "Are there any threats around here? Anything I should look out for?"

This time Festus used his half-neck for a nod.

"What?" She was starting to get worried again. "What's wrong?"

He turned toward her and made a collection of clicks and ticks. Then he motioned his head to a cruise ship on the horizon with almost every light on visible. Annabeth instinctively thought of her old friend Luke's monster infested ship, The Princess Andromeda, but that had been destroyed by Percy, and.... Charlie. She still got choked up about that. But at least he's with Selena.

"Are there monsters on that boat?" Festus was about to answer when what looked a firework went off on the cruise ship. Annabeth followed the line of light, then before she could process it, three hooded figures were on the deck of the Argo II. Her Instinct was to pull out her drakon-bone sword.

"Who are you?" She demanded. The tallest hooded figure yanked off his mask and she saw an old blonde friend who should've been dead. Her eyes widened greatly.
