Chapter 10- First Date

The following morning, it was a typical morning as I walked into the kitchen as my world lit up seeing my Sokovian princess as I slowly wrapped my arms around her waist before I softly ran my lips along her neck gently kissing as I whispered in her ear, "good morning love" her body instantly relaxing into mine as she slowly spun around showing me the smile that had formed almost instantly "good morning angel, any plans for today?" her smile was so addicting to me as I slowly nodded before kissing her soft lips tasting the hint of vanilla and coffee an intoxicating taste to me, I studied her face every feature she owned I was in love with, this woman was truly perfect to me.

"Actually love I was thinking we could get out of here for the day maybe take a road trip just two of us, sort of like an official first date since I still owe you that" I smiled with every word that left my lips as she lit up at the sound of it, Wanda loved the simple things just like I did, I could see the excitement grow as I had told her the plan for the day as she danced around the kitchen counter crashing into my lap as she wrapped her arms around my neck playfully "yes! I am so down babe I will go get things ready and meet you at the car, this is going to be so much fun" she gave me a quick kiss as she ran down the hall to get ready, I couldn't help but to smile to myself as I got some snacks ready and began to pack the car.

It wasn't long before Wanda came out of the compound as she took my breath away like she always did, her hair curly bouncing with every step she took, the slightly snug faded t-shirt hugged her body with every movement, the cut of jean shorts showing her sun-kissed skin as she shot me a smile before greeting me with a kiss, her hand ran down my cheek along my jawline as she smirked before getting into the car, God I was one lucky soul. I followed her as I got into the car, music of her choice was already playing as she sang along, as she always did with every car ride we had taken together, her hand slowly interlocking with mine as she played with my fingers, her soft touch sending a fire inside my soul as I drove alone the coastline, her eyes widened at the sight of the ocean, it was her first time at the beach, a trip I had wanted to take with her for as long as I could remember, I loved the beach and when I found out she had never been I wanted to merge my two loves and just make this the happiest day of our lives, I glanced over at my love as she looked out window as I softly squeezed her hand.

"What you thinking about princess?" my question broke the silence that had filled the car, disturbing the early 2000's pop that flowed through the speakers, she turned looking at me as a smile lit up the car.

"Just how I got so lucky to find someone like you, someone who loves me for all my flaws and manages to love me even on my bad days" her voice was soft spoken as a hint of sadness floated around her, I gently squeezed her hand as I locked eyes with her.

"I think we are both lucky babe besides you are my best friend loving you comes easy and despite what you think you deserve, you deserve the world love your flaws make you who you are and I love you for all your flaws, quirks, insecurities, I love you for everything you are the good and bad, I always will" I softly kissed her hand as tears danced down her cheeks but a smile quickly followed as she squeezed my hand tighter than ever.

"Who knew you were such a hopeless romantic, always full of surprises" she playfully nudged me as she scooted closer to me leaning her head against my shoulder as she played with my fingers tracing them with hers before she interlocked our fingers as she slowly drifted to sleep as you drove the rest of the way trying not to disturb her, she always looked so peaceful when she slept. Hours passed as she slowly woke up as you pulled over on side of road, she looked out the window lighting up as the sound of waves crashing filled the air as she quickly got out of the car with me quickly following her as she ran to my side of the car as she took my hand leading me to the beach, we both stopped as we took of our shoes before we both ran down to the water, the sand dancing beneath our feet as we emerged ourselves into the water, the pure joy on Wanda's face warmed my heart as I pulled her close, spinning her around as the water hit us, I locked eyes with her as she leaned up crashing into my lips as I cradled her face as we kissed, the water was cold but my body was on fire because of her. The hours passed by as the sun began to set, the slight yawn Wanda tried to hide was our cue to head back home, we slowly came out of the water as she jumped on my back as I spun her around, the laughter from both of us mixed with the faint sound of the seagulls as we headed back to the car. A sudden burst of energy filled my love as she sand to radio the entire ride back, I couldn't seem to take my eyes off her as I drove the lonely highway, a quick pit stop for some food was needed, as we both had gone without food since breakfast but nothing burgers and fries couldn't fix as we got back on road again.
