"So you're that girl, huh?" It was Tadashi Shizuku, one of the girls I met on my first day. She was looking down on me as if she was superior.
The three of them cornered me whivle I was on my way to Akashi Seijuro's office. "Yes and it took you this long to find out, huh?" I smirked which made her angry, judging by the look on her face. The two were just behind her, especially Misa.
"You've got some guts for a transferee." she retorted. Suddenly, she clutched my collar and pulled me closer to her. "Listen here, kid." she started. "No one can talk back to me, not even you. Before you can reach Akashi's office, you're already beaten up."
It made me laugh, to be honest, so I did laugh at her face mockingly, angering her even more. "I'd like to see you--" her hand flew to slap me right across the face making me lose my balance.
My sight darkened and all I wanted to do was end her right now. I stood up just before she can kick me. I clenched my fist and punched her. I pulled her hair and punched her again. Somebody pulled my hair so I released Shizuku and faced the girl pulling my hair and gave her an uppercut. I noticed Misa from the corner of my eye running away. I turned back to Tadashi sat on top of her and punched her repeatedly.
I only stopped after someone grabbed the back of my collar and pulled me away from Tadashi in one swift motion. The person released me and it happened to be Akashi Seijuro. His aura seemed more intense. No, he seemed like a grenade that's about to blow up any second now.
"In my office. Now." he told me before walking away. I wiped the blood from my busted lip with the sleeve of my blazer and followed him to his office. Hanabusa Misa was just outside Akashi's office. Akashi stopped in front of her. "Take your friends to the clinic."
I followed him inside. He sat on his chair silently while he stared at me. "Isano Eri." he said under his breath. I simply stood in front of him, meeting his eyes.
"As the student council president, it is my duty to restore order and peace in this school. There are a lot of dekinquents who studied and even managed to get their life together." he started. He slowly stood up and walked in front of his desk then sat on it. "Before you transferred to this school, I've already heard about you and your mishaps."
"I didn't start the fight." I told him.
His lip curled up into a smirk. "I know." he replied. "That's why I'm considering this as your first offense thus giving you a week of community service."
"What?!" I exclaimed in disbelief.
His brow rose. "Do you have any objections?"
"Nothing." I stated. This was great. My parents will never know about what happened. "Wait, how did you know it was me?"
"I've always known it was you." he said.
I frowned. "How?"
"It's simple. My people said it was the first time they saw you. They knew most of the people here by face since they patrol the school almost everyday." He stared into my eyes. "And besides, you're the only transferee this year."
I clenched my fists. "Then why didn't you report me?"
He smirked again. "It was amusing to see you try your best to hide and be uneasy for weeks. If your father knew about this, he'll be so disappointed, Isano."
I glared at him. "You bastard..."
He put his blank face on again and looked down on me. "Nobody talks back to me like that." he stated.
My body trembled but I wouldn't let him intimidate me. No one should easily scare me. I walked closer to him before throwing a punch to him but he quickly caught it with a hand before it reached his face. "This is the first time I saw you but I can say that I hate you already."
"I can say the same but remember this." He stood up, still holding the punch I was about to throw at him. "I am Akashi Seijuro. If you are to go against me, you must be prepared." He gripped my fist tightly until it turned a bluish-purple color then released it. "You must know, Isano Eri, now that you're studying in this school, you are going to obey the rules."
I held my hand while glaring at him. "Challenge accepted, Akashi Seijuro." I declared with determination. "For your information, I am the type of girl who goes by my own rules. I wouldn't let a guy like you control me like one of your minions."
"We'll see." he stated. "One way or another, I'll make you submit yourself to me and when that happens, I expect something in return." he stated.
I don't understand what he was saying but because I was so sure of myself that I won't lose to him. "You got yourself a deal and when I win, I expect you to kneel and say I'm a God."
He raised his eyebrows at me. "That's a bit childish but okay."
"Okay."
And that's how my rivalry with Akashi started. It was a contest to see who is more superior and I don't intend to lose.
