"It's been a month, Eri. Don't you ever get tired of cleaning the gym?" Nana whined as I dragged her to the gym where I'm appointed once again.

I shook my head as I released her hand and adjusted the mop and bucket in my hands so it won't fall. "No, I wouldn't let Akashi walk all over me. I couldn't give him that satisfaction."

"He's already doing it by making you clean up after practice." she retorted.

I stopped for a moment and thought about it. Cleaning the gym was always part of my community service. Besides, it wasn't that dirty. All I have to do is mop it and collect all the balls used. The dirtiest I cleaned up was Nebuya-senpai's leftovers. "That's okay. It doesn't frustrate me at all. As long as I can do whatever the hell I want and Akashi can't do anything about it except for giving me chores." I replied.

"Well, whatever you say." Nana said afterwards.

We reached the gym so I placed the cleaning supplies on the side. Practice hasn't finished yet so Nana and I waited on the side until they're done. Practice has been vigorous lately as there was an upcoming tournament, from what I've heard.

Suddenly, Nana's phone beeped indicating that she received a message. She opened it and groaned. "I have to go. My parents are going out so I have to look after my brothers." she informed.

I can't do anything about it so I let her leave. She was hesitant at first but I assured her that I'll behave. After she left, I had nothing to do but watch the team practice even though I knew nothing about the sport.

"Yo, Isano!" Hayama-senpai greeted as he grabbed a towel from the bench. He sat and drank some water. "Cleaning again?"

I nodded. "As always."

He chuckled. "We'll be finishing late today so you'll have to wait a little longer." he told me.

I shrugged. "I have nothing left to do anyway so that's alright."

"Kotaro, get back to practice." Akashi's voice rang from the other side of the court.

Hayama-senpai quickly stood up and apologized. "Sorry, Akashi! I'll get back now." he yelled and went back to the court like an obedient puppy.

Akashi soon appeared to the bench where Hayama was. He silently monitored their practice while I sat on the ground, getting bored. After all, watching sweaty guys run back and forth gets pretty boring.

"Tired?" Akashi suddenly asked.

I was taken aback. Whenever we're in the same room, we don't talk much or else it'll start another fight. "Not really." I grumbled, hugging my knees closer to my chest.

He nodded nonchalantly, obviously not caring. I rolled my eyes and watched the guys practice again. "Since when did you and Kotaro start talking?" he asked again.

"Why do you even care?" I asked back. Why is he even starting a conversation with me? We don't mix well.

"I don't." he answered. I glared at him. He wasn't looking at me. Instead, he was focused on the clipboard. For the first time, I had the chance to actually observe his features. I can only see the side of his profile but I couldn't deny that he has a certain charisma that I couldn't see in other guys. "Stop staring at me, creep." he told me, looking at me in the corner of his eyes.

"I wasn't staring at you." I denied. "Why would I look at you? You're a big sore to look at." I added.

"Then I forbid you to look at me." he talked back.

"You don't tell me what to do." I told him.

"It's my face you're looking at therefore, I forbid you to look at me."

My hand itched to grabbed the mop beside me and smack his smug face but I wouldn't resort to violence... not yet. "Like I said, I wasn't looking at you, retard."

He dropped the clipboard unto his lap and glared at me. "Talking to you makes me stupid so don't talk to me anymore."

"I wasn't even talking to you!" I yelled angrily. "You're the one who talked to me first."

"If you aren't talking to me right now, then who are you talking to? Air?" he inquired.

I stood up and grabbed the mop and bucket away from him before I smacked his face. He infuriates me so much, I could murder him. For the first time in my life, I became the bigger person and walked away before I can cause another trouble.

Hayama let out a relieved sigh. "Phew, and I thought there's going to be another war happening." he muttered jokingly with a grin on his face.

"It's so unlikely of you, Eri-chan." Mibuchi-senpai pointed out.

I glared at Akashi one last time before I turned to Mibuchi-senpai. "I had to or I won't be able to control myself. I'll end his life."

He smiled and shrugged. "To be honest. You and Sei-chan have good chemistry."

"We don't." I denied.

"Ignore that girl and get back to practice." Akashi called out so the two seniors obeyed his order and went back to practice.

Soon, practice ended. As soon as everyone hit the showers, I started collecting everything left on the floor and set it aside before mopping the court. I took my phone and plugged my earphones in to listen to music while I clean.

The playlist I played was almost about to finish when I was done cleaning. I grabbed the mop and bucket to return it to the locker room. I was sure that everyone left so I went in without knocking. I placed the supplies on a locker and locked it before going out.

When I turned around, I found a topless Akashi getting a shirt from his locker. "Do you even have any decency?" I scolded angrily.

He didn't look at me while he wore the shirt on. Then, he took the towel and dried his wet hair. "This is the boys' locker room." He reminded. "Keep in mind that there'll be always some topless guy inside."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. I'm going out." I told him and walked out of the room. I went back to our classroom and grabbed my bag before leaving the school.

As I was nearing the exit, I saw Akashi again and groaned internally. Why must I suffer from seeing him everywhere? Have I not made myself clear that he's a sore to look at? Instead of creating another banter with Akashi, I ignored him and walked ahead without looking at him.

"Isano." he called before I even passed the exit. I continued without looking at him. Suddenly, someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the side seconds before a speeding car passed. "So stupid." I heard Akashi whisper.

I glared up at him and took my wrist back. My heart was pounding from the near-death experience. "T-thanks." I said awkwardly even though he called me stupid. He saved me from getting hit by a car so the least I could do was thank him and ignore the insult he threw.

I walked ahead but I can still sense Akashi near me. I ignored his presence, thinking that his home is on the same way. My house getting nearer and I can still feel him. Once I arrived at our home, he spoke before I can open the gates.

"So this is where you live."

I turned around in shock. "You were following me?" I yelled.

"Yes." he answered, observing our house. "It seems kind of small for you." he commented.

"Not all of us live in a mansion." I pointed out sarcastically, pertaining to his lavish type of living. "And why were you following me anyway?"

"Eri, why are you--" my mom spoke as she looked from the door. Her eyes quickly saw the other person with me. At first, she was surprised until her eyes sensed the recognition. "Seijuro?!" she exclaimed in disbelief.

"You know him?" I asked.

Akashi bowed. "Good evening, Isano-san."

How? How did my mom and Akashi knew each other? I couldn't ignore the fact that my mother called Akashi by his given name.
