Slowly, Toby lifts his head and wipes away some of the blood from his nose, sniffling lightly. His neck twitches and cracks loudly. Upon hearing the noise, a few people in the crowd wince. Toby curls his hands into fists but doesn't attack him. He doesn't even want to. A blood fills his mouth and he spits it out to the side, coughing lightly. He twitches and the bully laughs loudly.

"Come on, 'Ticci Toby'. Too much of a wimp to fight back?" The bully teases.

Toby snorts and shakes his head once, speaking with a raspy tone of voice. "I'm not the wimp here. You're the one picking on an innocent, troubled kid who's just trying to pass high school like most of us. So come on. Hit me again. I dare you, bitch." The bully was stunned at first but sure enough took another hit on him, knocking him back down to the ground. He kicks him in the ribs a few times and breaks a few, puncturing one of his lungs.

A teacher walks by and sees it all, shouting loudly at the crowd. "Hey! Leave him alone and go do something productive other than picking on somebody!" She yells. Everybody quickly leaves, leaving Toby on the ground. He could barely breath and blood was dripping out of the sides of his mouth. The teacher calls an ambulance and in about 5 minutes, one was already there and the paramedics loaded him up into the back.

Toby groans out. His mom quickly goes to his side. "I'm here, honey. It's alright. Everything will be fine. "Where's dad?" "He was called in to work." She replied sadly. Toby frowned and looked over to the door.

There was the shadow figure again. Toby felt his heart beat harder and faster. His brain went into panic mode and he squirmed around in the bed. "Just go away! I don't want you here!" Toby cries out. A doctor rushes in and injects him with something to calm him. The next thing Toby remembers is darkness. Absolute darkness...
