The seven year old blonde and brunette were outside laying in a clearing watching the stars.
"One day I want to find my mate." The blonde girl said. The brunette turned her head and looked at her best friend.
"Me too. I want the love we see on our parents faces when they are with each other, Skylar." The brunette said.
"You know what, Amanda? We should wish on a star and hope that it comes true." Skylar said in an excited voice.
"We should! Let's do it now." Amanda exclaimed.
They both closed their eyes letting the darkness consume them and they wished to find their mate someday. Then they open their eyes. It was dark out and they couldn't be out late. They both get up knowing they had to get home.
They held hands and walked through the woods together. They reached home and entered from the back door.
"Mom. Amanda and I will be in my room." Skylar says to her mother, Melissa.
"Alright darlings. Don't sleep late you two. Could you tell your brothers that i too?" Her mother asked.
"If course, mom." She responded before heading up the stairs and into her oldest brothers room.
She knocked once and then opened the door. Her brother, Jason, was sitting on a bean bag on the floor playing video games with Mason, Jason's twin and Skylar's older brother. They both looked up towards the door and smiled at Skylar and Amanda.
"Guys. Mom said to go to bed soon." Skylar told her brothers.
"Okay. Goodnight Sky. Goodnight Mandy." The brunette, Jason, said.
"Night Lala. Night Ami." The blonde, Mason, said.
"Night Jase. Night Mase." The two girls said in sync before leaving the room and walking down the hall into Skylar's room.
They laid on the queen sized bed with blue sheets and fell into a deep sleep with the thoughts of finding their mate on their mind.
'One day.' Skylar thought over and over. 'One day.'
