"Let's go over to Sky's house. She hasn't been answering my calls or messages!" Amanda exclaims.
She paces around her room, looking for something. She squeals and when I see what she was looking for I smile and shake my head. It was a packet of gummy bears.
"Okay, then gummy bear queen. Let's go." I say and get off her bed.
We leave her room, hand in hand. Amanda yells that she'll be at Skylars. We walk across the street and enter Skylar's house.
Amanda guides me to Skylar's room and she abruptly stops in front of a door. She sniffs and her eyebrows scrunch up.
"What is it?" I ask.
"I smell Skylar, Talon and someone else, but I don't know who." She says.
"Well, then. Let's check it out." I say.
She opens the door and we see Talon and Skylar on her bed sleeping. We walk closer and see a little girl curled up under Skylar's arm.
Amanda looks at me and I shrug. She goes up to Skylar's bed and then climbs on top. What is she doing?
She goes on top of Skylar and screams in her ear.
The scream is so loud that Talon jumps up and falls out of Skylar's bed and into the floor. I stifle a laugh and stare wide eyed.
Skylar holds her right ear and pushes Amanda off. The little girl looks frightened and holds on to Skylar's waist.
Sky wraps her arms around the girl and soothes her. Talon gets up and glares at Amanda.
"Good afternoon, love birds. Who is this precious little girl?" I say and smile.
Amanda comes to my side and I wrap my arm around her shoulders.
"Uh, we haven't really asked for her name." Talon says.
"Oh." I say.
Sky gets off the bed and takes the little girl with her. They leave the room and we all shrug at each other.
We all sit on Skylar's bed and turn on her TV and we watch The Simpsons.
A few minutes later, Sky and the little girl walks in and the little girl is changed. She's changed into jeans, a white t-shirt and black Ugg boots. Her hair was in a bun and she was smiling as she held Skylar's hand.
"Her name's Ronnie." Sky says.
"What?" The three of us sync.
"The little girls name is Ronnie." She says.
She whispers something in Ronnie's ear and Ronnie nods her head, smiling.
"Hi!" Ronnie says with a cute little voice.
We all wave back as Skylar smiles at her. We all continue to watch tv with Ronnie sitting in between Talons legs. Skylar went to go change.
Amanda rests her head on my arm and I smile down at her lovingly. I smile and take hold of her hand.
"Why don't we build a snowman?" Sky says when she comes back.
"Yes! Snowman! Snowman!" Ronnie chants.
We all stare at her adoringly and Sky goes to find a winter jacket, gloves, hat and scarf for Ronnie.
We all go to the living room and put on our winter coats. Sky comes back and Talon helps her dress Ronnie. They would really be great parents.
Talon kisses Skylar on the mouth and then he picks Ronnie up. I take hold of Amanda's hand and we start to head out.
"Well, let's go built that snowman!" Amanda cheers.
"Yeah, let's!" Skylar yells.
We all leave from the back door. I feel something hit my back and I turn around. I see a laughing Talon and then I bend down and take a fistful of snow. I throw it at him and it hits his face. I laugh and then on the side of my face a cold substance hits me.
I turn and see Amanda smiling goofily at me.
"Oh! You are so getting it!" I say.
In the background I hear little Ronnie's laugher along with Talons and Skylar's.
"Catch me if you can, vamp!" Amanda yells while running away.
I smirk and say, "you're on, wolfy!" I yell.
I use my super speed and run in front of her. She bumps into my chest and I circle my arms around her. She's giggling and struggling in my hold.
I throw her over my shoulder and take her towards the rest.
"Snowman time!" I yell.
Ronnie gets snow and starts to roll it on the ground. Talon and Skylar help each other on making the bottom of the snowman. Amanda and I do the middle part. I see Skylar say something to Talon before kissing the tip of his nose.
Talon pouts then he smiles and kisses Skylar's temple. They smile at each other and I'm glad that my best friend found a great match. His mate is the best thing for him and I can see that.
I look at Amanda and see her smiling proudly at the two. I side hug her and we continue to make the middle part.
"Sky? When are we putting up the Christmas tree?" Amanda asks.
"Tomorrow night, I think." Skylar says.
"Okay." Amanda says.
Skylar and Talon are finished and so are Amanda and I. Amanda and I raise our huge snowball and place it on top of the much bigger snowball.
Ronnie finishes her smaller snowball and Talon carries her up so that she can place it at the top.
"We need deco- deco- decorations!" Ronnie says with difficulty on trying to pronounce 'decorations'.
"Like what, Ron?" Skylar asks.
"A hat and a-a scarf! Ou, and sticks and buttons." Ronnie says.
"Okay, munchkin." Skylar says and bops Ronnie's nose.
Ronnie giggles and her and Sky, including Amanda go to get the things needed for our amazing snowman.
I walk up to Talon and elbow his arm.
"How did Ronnie get here?" I ask curiously.
"Sky and I were on a run when we smelled blood. We searched for the scent and found two dead, bloodied wolfs, but before that we also heard cries. The cries were Ronnie's." He says and then turns to look at me with a sad look. "Her parents were murdered."
