The alpha and the omega look at each other dumbfounded. Zack thought why would Ophelia steal gold from the king if his family could provide her need every single day. Zack felt betrayed and heart wretched, he slowly put down his sword and question Ophelia's motive.
"Why Ophelia? Why would you do this and betray, are you just using us to plot your motives? Are you just a greedy thief using my father's wealth to ploy your need" Zack said with pain in his voice? Ophelia's eyes widen at the accusation she denied the alphas accuse.
"No, zack. Please I beg of you to listen, I have a proper reason. Please heed to my reason" Ophelia grab Zack's hands. Zack eyebrow furrow and hesitate a little.
"Is this one of the reasons for your sudden disappearance during my trial for knighthood?" Ophelia nodded. Zack sighed and sat down under the tree where Ophelia slept, while still analyzing Ophelia's movement, Ophelia fidget at the stare.
"This is going to be a long story, please believe me" Ophelia sat down beside zack who is still wary of her.
Minutes later after saying about the meeting, the plan, the objective of the king, and the reason.
Zack's jaw dropped by the story of Ophelia, all of that is just 3 days? How does this even make any sense? But her being a hybrid was already unbelievable, and then the king's objective is blasphemy. Ophelia waited for Zack's expression.
"That is a lot to take in Ophelia, you could have been arrested or worse beheaded if they caught you. No less an omega who ran away from her owner and now living in our house with a knight looking for you. Why could you not just ask for help? Ask me to help you" zack was now rambling to Ophelia who looked down in guilt but at the same time offended by zack's words. Ophelia heard zack sighed and sat up giving her a hand.
"Let us go, I shall help you go to your destination and out of this mess. But—"Ophelia glee at the respond and waited for the continuation for zack's response"—I need to be there for lookout. And no you don't get to decide it" Ophelia frowned at zack but nevertheless nodded in confirmation. Then they walked through the woods heading to the capital.
As they kept walking until they arrived at the capital avoiding the knight who walked past them. Then they arrived in front of the bar, walking inside with zack following her. She nod at the bartender and whispers something to the waiter who then showed her the way. Zack just followed Ophelia trusting her judgment. With that, they arrived in front of the door beneath the arena under the bar. She knocked thrice and the door opened letting her in. zack went inside with Ophelia but was blocked by a man.
"Do not worry he is with me" after Ophelia said those words the man put down his hand and a snarky voice answered Ophelia's statement.
"Just because you get to fulfill the mission does not mean you get to get inside this establishment with whoever you want" Ophelia glared at the woman with black hair. And began to reply to her snarky comment.
"Whatever the reason you need to make a comment when I enter or say something in front of your bloody face onyx?" Ophelia asked. Before onyx could reply to Ophelia she was cut off by Vieve.
"Now, now no need to be disrespectful with each other. Lushery just went into a rough situation she needs to rest. Now that is out of the way, care to introduce us to your companion Ophelia?" Vieve said with her mask hiding her eyes but you could see her amused smile.
"Yes, this one of the newly appointed knights of Velice. But you may call him Teal" Ophelia introduced zack to the others making up a fake name while she is at it. Zack looked at her in a weird way then mouthed 'TEAL?' Ophelia makes a face at Zack signifying to just go with it. Zack rolled his eyes and stand beside Ophelia as they start the meeting.
With all that has been said and the document been handed out to the leaders. They confirmed that the king's plan was not only to capture but slowly kill the omega. They began to form a plan quickly on how to outrun the king's plan and defeat him all at once. With that, they planned all afternoon until sundown, tomorrow at dawn. This is the beginning of the battle?
