It has been four days since Ophelia was rescued by a caring omega with her family, but the fact that Ophelia hasn't met Layla's family is an understatement. She knew that trusting Layla is a good choice however she was not sure of the others. Although she has already been reassured that her husband is a very kind and understanding alpha since he is the man that helped her coped during the rehabilitation trauma. But one could never be too worried. It was mid-afternoon when Layla walks into the room that she is in together with a man and the way how the man holds Layla's waist she could already tell that the man was her husband.
"Good noon Ophelia, how are you today?" Layla greets.
"Good noon to you as well Layla, and yes I have been dong fairly. Thanks to you" Ophelia greets back to Layla with a gleeful smile.
"As you can tell I am here for the daily check-up" Layla walked toward her, and gently checking for any other wound in her body. Ophelia let her inspect her body, as she analyzes the man behind Layla. The man has a summer breeze scent that reminds her of the indistinct memory of her family, the man also has trimmed hair and a dark-turquois eye. The man noticed her staring and give her a bright smile, and with that Ophelia looked away with embarrassment of being caught staring.
"It seems like your body is almost healing. And your open would already closed though it may leave a scar" said Layla with a very comforting smile.
"I know it may sound rude but is it okay for you to have a scar on your body, Not that it is bad or anything it's just that. I'm worried for you" the words that came out of Layla's mouth throw her back, only for a split second. She is not mad about what Layla said because she understands what she meant, being an omega means you need to have the perfect body and skin because an omegas body is what makes an omega wanted in society. If a scar or a mole is found on an omegas body, she will be considered as an urchin or an ugly omega that will be unwanted by anyone. As she was told by the omegas who stayed in the rehabilitation and was not able to please their customer or not able to be sold nor bought.
"Don't worry Layla, I understand your worries about me. But I would rather have a scar than be dead" Ophelia said with a confident face. That made the married woman sighed in relief.
"Oh dear, I forgot let me introduced you to my husband. Nick this is Ophelia, Ophelia this is Nick" Layla exclaimed.
"Greetings and it is nice meeting you Ophelia, and do not worry your secret is safe with me" Nick offered a handshake and Ophelia took it with hesitation. As they shook hands Ophelia quickly looked away from Nick not knowing what to say, she had never talked to an alpha before she only had seen them in the rehabilitation. Without much of a word, Nick noticed her discomfort around him.
"Do not worry I will not betray your trust, betraying you is like cheating on my wife who is also an omega. I know you may not trust me now but I wish for you to know that I also have your back" Nick spoke with certainty and a clear voice which means he is not bluffing. And it makes Ophelia feel delighted. It is like how she felt back in the days where she was still with her own family.
"Thank you so much, sir" answered Ophelia
"Please call me Nick" offered by the alpha himself, whom in the first glance of the female omega he knew that he wants to protect her and already viewed her as his own daughter. The day ended very nicely and pleasant. The comfort of the married couple was unescapable and a bliss.
The next day Layla announced that Ophelia can go back to walking again since her legs were fully healed, so is her ankles. With the help of Layla and Nick, Ophelia was able to regain her stability for walking. Not only had that but Nick and Ophelia begun to spend time together, trying to learn about each other, and Ophelia slowly warmed up to Nick's presence as they talked about Nicks and Layla's son. She felt free and loved by the married couple.
