CHAPTER 7 - THE CONFLICT

"We shall continue this meeting tomorrow for the finale, and please refrain from revealing the location or the organization. I shall wish you safety for your travels" the leader spoke before leaving the table, and one by one people started to leave as well.

Ophelia caught Quil giving the stink eye then leaving beforehand. The sound of the door shutting was last heard, only Ophelia, Ender, and Vieve left in the room, the silence was so exhilarating for Ophelia to take. However a caught both the female omegas attention, it was Ender. Who stood up and bowed.

"I shall headfirst for I have a business to attend. It was nice to meet you Lushery. Farewell and have safe a travels" Ender bid goodbye but without glancing at Ophelia then heading out to the door. That leads Vieve and Ophelia into the room.

"I know you have questions and doubts, it is better to speak out before leaving with uncertainties," Vieve said in a very delicate manner. She waited for Ophelia to ask. Ophelia gulp, feeling fidgety.

"Is it true?" Vieve look at Ophelia confused.

"It what true, you need to be more specific" with a deadpan look, this made Ophelia gulp again.

"That the king is planning to abduct all omega? That sounds so inhuman and sadistic, too impossible to happen" Ophelia unknowingly raised her voice, she is shushed by Vieve saying inner voice.

"What are the benefits if we are lying to you?" Vieve sighed in exhaustion, this made Ophelia grunt.

"you could be just using me to steal something from the king for your benefit on getting the crown and the kingdoms wealth then put me into the dungeon or the rehabilitation again" Ophelia reasoned, which got her an open mouth to respond by Vieve, no word went out of her mouth, blinking dumbfound before wheezing.

"That is indeed a good reason! I did not expect that" Vieve wheeze also wiping tears coming out of her eyes. Ophelia huffed and rolled her eyes, waiting for Vieve to finish laughing. At least the atmosphere is easing up.

"But in all seriousness, yes it is indeed correct that the majesty is planning to abduct all the omega. We do not know the reason and are hoping that the document which you will be stealing has the answer" Vieve face instantly turns serious, narrowing her eyes and frowned her lips. Her expression made Ophelia shudder, even her born and raised in a luxurious life is concern by the ruler of the kingdom.

"I understand, but I don't understand how you a noble, one of the kings people to plan something so precarious? Are they not going to suspect you?" Ophelia voiced out her concern for Vieve, which made Vieve smiled in gladness.

"I do appreciate your concern, I do know it is dangerous but it takes one person to lead out for everyone. And I, also an omega who is undeniably treated like a gem did not experience your suffering does not mean I cannot feel empathy moreover this is the whole kingdom's omega. We suffered enough by their superiority. It needs to end now" Vieve smile confidently, her olive-green eyes showed agony and pain nevertheless her aura is motivating Ophelia.

"But how are going to stop a whole group of alpha and beta? They are the said superior to us, some omegas are weak-hearted and—"before finishing her sentence Ophelia quickly stop herself, she looked at Vieve who has a disappointed look on her face mad Ophelia guilty for her words. She muttered her apologies to Vieve. Which made her sigh.

"I honestly do not blame you for thinking like that due to your experience however you should not underestimate our organization. All the recruits are trained to fight here, and the majority may be omega but there are also alpha and beta joined in this organization. We have planned for this fight for a long time not before finding out about the king's plan." Vieve explained to the slumped-up Ophelia.
