"Rory!" Lorelai said as she rushed out of the car to her daughter as Luke stopped his truck going to Jess.
"I'm okay, Mom," Rory said where she and Jess sat aside.
"The car isn't though. Jess are you okay?" Lorelai asked.
"We're both fine," Jess said smiling.
"Pure luck if you two ask me. Didn't the idiot who rushed over the light even stop and help?" Luke asked.
"No he did not. But it's fine. We're both okay and for now that's all that matters," Jess said.
"All that matters?! You could have died!" Luke said as Jess looked at Rory.
"Luke, mind if I..." Jess said pulling Luke aside.
"I don't care how mad you are but calm down. Rory got a big fright. We both frankly did and the last thing I need right now is that she freaks out. Again," Jess said.
"Okay. Listen take my truck and take her home. I'll drive with Lorelai back in the Jeep," Luke said.
"Thanks. Rory come. I'm taking you home," Jess said.
"I can't. I..."
"Need rest. Doesn't matter how bad the accident was you got a fright and need to lie down for a bit. You also need to call Dean and tell him before he finds out from someone else. Come," Jess said.
"I'll see you at home. Jess stay with her until I get back, okay?" Lorelai said.
"Will do. Let's go," Jess said.
