Rory woke up to the noises in the house as she rolled her eyes sitting up. Looking around she saw her mother sitting aside at the table as she walked towards her.

"Hello, sleepy head. You slept for a long time. It's past nine but don't worry. You got the day off school. For the shock. How you feeling?" Lorelai asked as Rory exhaled sitting up.
"Like the shock has taken over my body. And I need caffeine," Rory said.
"Okay take a shower, get changed then we'll head to Luke's," Lorelai said.

As she heard the water being turned off Lorelai heard a knock against the door opening it as she saw Jess with coffee.

"Figured I'll come and check up. Luke sends this," Jess said handing Lorelai her coffee.
"She's just in the shower. Thanks. You off school as well?" Lorelai asked.
"Yeah but I'm still working. Well not at Walmart but at the diner," Jess said as he saw how Rory got out of the bathroom.
"Morning, how you feeling?" Jess asked handing Rory coffee.
"Rough. Thank you. It wasn't needed for you to check up on me. I'm okay," Rory said.
"Thought I would come..." Jess said as Rory pressed the recording machine.

So I know I apparently don't have an opinion on what happens to my ex-girlfriend because she's already fallen for another guy but I'm going to raise it anyway. Jess is bad news, Rory. You know it. I know you know it. And regardless what you say he won't change. Doesn't matter what. I hope you're okay and I'll try again later.

"Mom," Rory said as Jess exhaled.
"I didn't hear it," Lorelai said.
"I did. You had already fallen asleep and I didn't want to wake you up," Jess said as Rory put the coffee down going out of the house.
"Rory," Jess said going behind her.
"Rory!" Jess said stopping her.

"I'm sorry. Maybe I should have woken you up," Jess said as Rory shook her head.
"No, I'm not mad about it. I'm furious that you had to go through that. I can't believe that you heard that," Rory said.
"Rory, don't be mad. Or furious. It's my own fault. I've given Dean nothing but good reason to hate me. It's fine. Now forget about jerkhead. How are you?" Jess asked.
"I'm fine. Still exhausted," Rory said.
"Yeah shock does that. Besides that?" Jess asked.

Shrugging her shoulders Jess looked at Rory while he could see she was still in shock. Exhaling he took her into his arms as she laid her head on his shoulder breathing out. Feeling as he held her tighter she wanted it all to stay just like that.
