She smiled at her reflection in the mirror as she straightened her shirt, ready for work that morning. It was very early because she had a lot to do in the cafe, according to Joe.
KNOCK KNOCK!!

Linda looked at the door and went to it.
"Who is it?!" She said loudly in a kind tone.

"Hello? Is this Linda Rose?"

"Yes?" Linda said. She opened the door and behold was Maya, standing tall and proud.

Linda dazed at her. "Well that's a very fashionable way to dress up in the morning" Linda said in her head.

"What do you want? Who are you anyways?" Linda asked politely.

Maya removed her glassy designer sunglasses and stared at Linda in disbelief at her question. No one had ever asked who she was. Everyone knew who she was, so why not Linda?
"I am Maya Marshalls. I'm an international, famous, wealthy fashion model and I would like to talk to you about something very important"

Linda furrowed her eyebrows. "Important? Um I don't know if it can wait, I have to go to work."

Expecting Linda to gasp in surprise and go all 'gugu gaga' at her, Linda still kept her straight face, even looking at her watch.
"Oh! You have a job?" Maya asked surprised. She thought Linda would just be cheery girl who ate her ex-boyfriend's money.

"Um yeah. Any problem with it?"

"No. What I have to say to you cant be said out here. You need to let me in"

Linda thought for a second. Maya didn't look suspicious or dangerous. She shrugged.
"Alright come in."

❤🤍❤🤍
This is her house? Maya thought.
She wasn't just surprised but utterly disgusted at the poor design. She was expecting golden and white painted walls with expensive furnitures or even at least a huge TV.
Something to pass the message that she was a gold digger, but
NOPE!
Just flowery plain furnishings.
"So what do you want to say?"

"Well-"

"But please make it quick. As I said before, I have work to do" Linda said reminding her which flabbergasted Maya. No one had ever told Maya to "make it quick"

Maya cleared her throat.
"I'm going to warn you that this thing we have to discuss is based on matters that we both have to settle"

Linda waited.
"You see right here," Maya patted her tommy, "is my baby. I'm two, going to three months pregnant"

Linda smiled. "Oh congratulations. I'm happy for you, thank God"

"Yes, thank you, but you see, it's not something to celebrate."

"What do you mean? Wait, is it unwanted?" Linda asked sadly.

"Something like that, at least to my husband. We were so in love with each other, our love knew no boundaries, at least until he made love to me and I became pregnant. He left me."

"He left you? I don't understand"

"He didn't want me anymore. We had an argument and I realized that he didn't want a family but just pleasure. Till now, he still claims that he's not the father of my baby. I've tried to get him back but to no avail"

Linda felt sorry for her immediately. She did have the same similar situation with Ken, at least without the baby part.
"I'm so sorry. I'm sure you did not deserve this. How crazy that people go the extra mile to use people to get thier evil wants"

"You're not wrong. But you see Linda, that's why I'm here. I didn't marry an ordinary man, I married one of the most wealthiest billionaires in the world and when I heard he had already replaced me with another woman, it crushed me."
