Sorry about the fact that this will be a rather short chapter. Hopefully her next chapter will be a little longer. This is really just to give a little backstory to Alya Light's character.

Future parts of this arc will not be part of the main storyline and will probably appear later in the story.

Light Moonbeam

Part 1 of Moon Arc

A little girl sat hiding behind a large column in the vast hallway.

Two platinum blonde pigtails waved back and forth in the air as the girl chuckled to herself. She wore a baggy periwinkle sweater that hung off of one of her shoulders. Black long fuzzy pants covered her legs draping over her bare feet.

She slowly peeked around the left side of the column to see if the person who was following her was still there.

When she glanced over the entire hallway was empty not a sign of everyone. Her small lip started quiver when she realized she was alone.

Suddenly two strong arm grabbed her from behind and lifted her up into the air. She smiled as he spun her around before holding her to his chest. She gentle laid her head on the man's shoulder as they started making their way back the way they came.

"Little Moonbeam, I know you want to keep playing. But I think it's time for you to get to bed."

The little girl started running her hand through the man's blonde hair. "But I am not tired. I don't want to go to bed."

"Let my show you something."

The man carries the younger girl into what looked like a huge observatory. He walked up to a large window that had a telescope sticking by out of it.

As always the wondrous view of blue and greens astounded the young girl. It was so vibrant compared to the gold, silver, and pastel colors of her home.

The man tilted the telescope and grabbed a chair and before sitting down holding the girl up to the telescope. "You see all those houses. Little children just like you are getting tucked into bed to go to sleep."

The little girl gazed though the telescope watching as the world before her started to still. She laid her head back onto the man's chest slowly starting to fall asleep.

He slowly stood up and walked the little girl to her room tucking her into her bed. He let out a soft chuckle at all the pillows the girl managed to get onto her bed. 

He walked to the side and quietly flipped on the small dim lamp that sat there. As he did so he let his mind drift to his old protector. The one that would always sit next time him when he was a baby whenever he was asleep.

Nightlight, bright light,

Sweet dreams I bestow.

Sleep tight, all night.

Forever I will glow.

He missed his friend but he loved being able to watch Nightlight guard the children of Earth. He only wished he was able to tell Nightlight about his daughter. But the man knew he would not be able to tell anyone about her. At least not yet.

As he was about to leave the little girl spoke up.

"Tomorrow can we go collect moon and star dust?"

"Of course."

"Thank you. Good night Daddy."

"Good night Alya." He walks over as softly kisses the girls forehead before leaving the room to go back to watching the world below.

A/N: Sorry for this being a short chapter there was not much I could put in this chapter.

A few points I want to make are

1, the little girl in the chapter was Alya she is about 5 in this chapter.

2, the man in this was Manny/MiM/Man in Moon whatever you want to call him.

3, for future case Alya ages on the Moon but once she goes to Earth she stops aging.
