I changed Oikawa's contact information to his name from Unknown Number before I put my phone back on the charger and fall alseep.
——————————————–———
I walk up and check the time. It's only seven thirty, Oikawa will most likely be sleeping. I'm an early bird, seven thirty is sleeping in.I make my way done stairs to see my mom on the phone. She hangs up fast and sighs before looking at me.
"Good morning Sweetie," Mom says. I smile at the little nickname. "Any plans today?"
"Just going to hang out with one of my friends." I reply.
"That's good, breakfast is already made." There's bacon on a plate behind her.
I give a small thank you before I start to eat.
"He's off again?" I ask.
"Yes, yes he is," She takes a pause before continuing. "You know how it is, comes than leaves again."
I go back to my room and grab my phone. I start messaging Oikawa, seeing what time works for him.
Hey Oikawa, does 13:00 work for you?
I hit send and start to get ready for the day. The shirt I put on has a nice cool blue colour, I tuck the shirt in to a dark pair of jeans. My phone lights us and dings.
I open the notification.
Oikawa:
I thought earlier so I could buy you lunch, but 13:00 works perfectly. See you soon ;)
What is with him and the winking icons. I give him a short reply of a can't wait to see you.
Time was going slow. We agreed to meet at the park where we first met. I ran down the stairs and meet my mom at the bottom.
"Slow done, you're going to fall." She laughs.
"Goodbye mom," I kiss her cheek before going to the door. "I love you."
The park isn't to far, the wind is waving around. The trees are moving, while leaves are falling off. I sit on the swing, the same one I sat on when I met Oikawa.
I take pit my phone and start playing a game.
"Nice day, huh?"
I look up to see Oikawa, he's wearing a plain shirt with a light blue unzipped jacket.
"Your starring." Oikawa says to get me out of my little doze.
"Huh? Oh sorry," I say. He chuckled. "Don't laugh."
"Where do you want to go?" He asks.
"How about we walk around the town then decide."
"Sounds good to me."
It's a pretty big town, I guess you could call it a city. We walk around and talk before stopping at a ice cream parlour.
"How about ice cream?" I ask.
Oikawa looks at me before replying. "I'll pay."
"You don't have to, I can pay for myself."
"Not happening. I asked you to come, I'll pay."
We order and I go to sit down. I take a sit at a table near a window in the front of the store.
I doze out when I see some people walk in the store. A familiar looking tall man with dark hair with a teen around my age or younger.
"Hey Suga, are you there?" Oikawa asks getting my attention. He hands me my ice cream and sits down. "You know them?"
I look back at them finally figuring. "That's, that's my father. So he's been lying about going on work trips." I whisper yell to Oikawa, quite enough so no one could hear.
"You have to tell your mom." Oikawa states.
"I know, I just... I just." Oikawa puts his hand on mine to try and calm down.
"Let's get out of here."
We leave the plain coloured ice cream parlour and start heading back to the park.
"I'm sorry you saw me like that." I say, trying to put on a fake smile.
"Don't try putting on a fake smile." Oikawa speaks calmly.
The rest of the walk is quite. We make it to the park and throw away our ice cream cups in the garbage. I sit on one of the swings while Oikawa sits on the other.
I get pulled into a hug, Oikawa putting his head on my head which is on his chest. I start crying and his fingers go through my hair. We stay like that for a few minutes before Oikawa takes my face to look at him and wipes the tears away.
"I'm sorry, your shirt is all wet now." I say. He chuckles making me chuckle.
"It's fine really, you needed to cry. If you ever feel sad or down make sure to call me."
We stay silent for a few minutes, my phone rings in my pocket.
"Hey mom." I say with a smile on my face.
"Okay, bye," I hang up the phone and look back at Oikawa. "I got to go now. I'll message you when I get there."
I make it home and open the door. My mom finished putting plates on the table. I make sure to text Oikawa that I'm home.
"Smells good in here."
"I made you favorite, spicy mapo tofu with extra spice." She says in a excited tone.
We thanked the food before eating, having little conversations. I thanked my mom for the meal before taking off to go to my room.
I go to my phone contacts and start messaging Oikawa.
I really had fun today, thank you for letting me cry on you. I hope we can do this again sometime
It only takes seconds and Oikawa has already sent a text.
Oikawa:
I had fun too, hopefully next time we won't have fathers getting in the wayI smile at the message and reply back. I start getting ready for bed and fall alseep.
