So Long

After I closed that front door, I didn't plan on opening it again. Even if it was Niall, I wouldn't do it.

Suddenly, there was a tap at my window. I ignored it, thinking it was just the tree outside.

The taps continued, and they were a little more urgent this time. I hopped off my bed and ripped my curtains apart.

My mouth widened in horror when I saw Harry dangling from the branch closest to my window. "Harry!" I yelled.

I pushed my window up and pulled the screen out.

"What are you doing?!" I hissed. Harry smiled. "Sleeping over. Now help me! My arms are getting tired." he complained.

He reached his hand out to me and I grabbed it, pulling him inside. He grabbed the window sill and swung his leg over the side.

"Ah.. Little help?" he asked.

I backed up a little, pulling Harry with me. He came flying through the window and he landed on top of me.

My breath hitched in my throat.

He looked down at me, his breath tickling my cheek. I didn't know what to say.

"Um. Can you get off me?" I suddenly said. "Yeah.. Ah." Harry rolled off me and I jumped up.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

Harry stood up as well and stretched out his arms. "I'm here because you said I might be able to stay if Niall doesn't. So I'm staying." he explained.

"No. No no no! You're not staying here tonight." I said firmly. Harry jumped onto my bed and sprawled himself out.

"This is comfortable." he said. I walked over to him and placed my hands on my hips. "You're adorable when you're mad. You know that right?" he said.

I rolled my eyes. "Stop. I'm not interested." I snapped. Harry smiled. "Well, I'll get you to change your mind." he coaxed.

"No, you won't. You need to leave now." I said.

"Aw. So you're kicking me out?" he asked. "Just leave. You're being stupid." I said.

"Fine." he said, sitting up. "I'll just have you know, when I go on tour, I won't be able to see Aubree and I'm going on tour in a few weeks... and I need to spend a lot of time with her." he explained.

"B.S. I'll send you pictures." I muttered.

"Maybe you're right. I shouldn't stay here tonight." he said. Harry stood up and walked over to my door.

"Where do you think you're going?!" I shouted. Harry's hand gripped the doorknob. "You clearly don't want me here." he said.

I crossed my arms and looked at him apologetically. "Don't do this now." I said. Harry turned to face me.

"I tell you I love you.. You kiss me back. Do you love me..or not?" he asked. I glanced at the ground and met his gaze once again.

"I... I don't know." I replied. Harry pulled the door open and stepped out. "Don't worry about it. I won't bother you again. I'll see you tomorrow because I want to see Aubree. Otherwise, I won't ask you for anything. Goodbye, Olivia." he said, walking out and closing the door behind him.

I rubbed my hands over my arms and felt a tear slip down my cheek. That single tear turned into uncontrollable sobs that soaked the front of my shirt and kept me up all night.

I guess I got what I deserved.
