Secrets have a way of making themselves felt,
even before you know it's a secret

Aithne
My head throbs as I slowly open my eyes. The nagging pain gets louder and louder as I sit upright. My hand runs my forehead and I squint my eyes together to help stop the pain. I sit like that for a few moments, until I open my eyes again to find that I'm in my room.
I look down and see that I'm not in my maroon dress anymore, but in a silky white pajama dress. I feel a slight chill overwhelm me, and I get out of bed to get a robe from the closet.
Memories of the party start flooding back.
Did I just pass out? Again!?
Really Aithne?
Great, now you're going to be known as a princess who passes out every single day.
I bury my face in my hands. Thoughts of people's judgements about me running through my mind.
Suddenly, the memory of feeling like I was carried comes to mind. I feel heat rush to my cheeks.
Did he really just do that? In front of all those people?
I fall back onto the bed, trying to rid the party itself from my mind.
I didn't mean to pass out. It just started to feel like my energy was draining from my body. I struggled to stay awake and register what Kai was saying to me. But all I heard was a bunch of jumbled nonsense that didn't make sense, so I just nodded, agreeing to whatever he was saying without even hearing it.
I gaze out the window. The moon shines brightly. The stars glow around the moonlight planet, keeping it company in the darkness.
I can't go back to bed now. I feel recharged and ready to tackle the day. But it's already nighttime and people are most likely asleep.
Maybe I'll take a walk to burn some energy.
My feet slowly walk to open the door. I hold the knob, praying that it won't creak, but to my surprise it doesn't (thankfully). I decided that I'll just walk around this floor once and then head back to bed.
I start ny midnight stroll, feeling the coolness of the floor beneath my feet.
Just like the sun, the moon's light illuminates throughout the hallways, giving it a cool, white glow compared to the sun's warm, golden shine during the day.
I, personally, like the night better than I do the day. Don't get me wrong, the daytime is just as beautiful, but I like how peaceful and quiet the night is.
I like how I don't need to put any effort into talking to anyone. I can just roam under the stars without anyone knowing.
Everything is calm. There are no sudden noises, no sudden movements, no feelings of hatred, no kindness, no laughter, no smiling, no whispers, just calm.
I watch the stars twinkle in the midst of blackness. Its beauty only shows up in the darkness, providing light for anyone who gazes under it.
The darkness of the sky makes the whole world seem bigger than it actually is. Using the night sky to cloak surroundings, providing a mystery and provoking anyone to use their imagination.
