Korra skipped school the next today since she was absolutely exhausted and she just let her friends know she wasn't feeling well. She was lying on the pullout bed relaxing her exhausted body. She's been almost six months in school and she felt like she's missed half. Although truly she didn't. As much as you would expect her to be absent she really wasn't.
Most time Unalaq had Zaheer forge doctors excuses so the school just thinks she gets sick easily. She was startled when her train car abruptly opened and Naga started barking. "Quiet you filthy canine." Unalaq snaps. Korra sat up quickly surprised he's here. Zaheer also walks inside. "So this is where you say. Good to know." He says looking around in disgust. He turns back to her.
"Glad to know you're not in school right now we have something to discuss." He says. "Everything alright sir?"
'Not like I give a shit anyways. What do you need is more the question is like to ask.'
" Summer is coming up soon as you know and you're parents expect you to be back home for half of it. That means less money for me and more of a chance for you to try and slither away and I can't risk that. I just worked on a case and they met a guilty man free. Than man runs underground events everywhere. I was able to negotiate a plan.
You're on a family death leave from school for two weeks. Every weekend you will have gigs. Two or three fights a night. There is no room for error in this. You loose you get beat simple. Is that understood." He says. "Yes sir." "Good. Now pack all your fighting belongings and your money. I don't want you seen to much around me. Tonight at eleven we leave." With that he turns around with Zaheer following behind.
'This is fucking great. Just exactly what I needed. I can't keep doing this shit anymore.'
Korra sighs plopping back on the bed. Tears form in her eyes in frustration and stress. "Ugh I'm not staying in this stupid ass train car all day." She grabs her phone and calls Asami. It took a few rings for her to pick up but she eventually did. Fumbling was heard before Asami's voice came through.
Asami- "Korra everything alright? You know I'm at school right."
Korra-" oh yeah sorry I forgot. But hey you still picked up."
Asami-" of course I did. Everything alright?"
Korra-" eh yeah."
Asami-" okay so why did you call? Not in a mean way either just wondering?"
Korra-" what if I just wanted to hear your voice?"
Asami-" you can come to school and hear it."
Korra-" how about you come to me. We can go somewhere."
Asami-" right now?"
Korra-" yeah of course right now."
Asami-" I'll try to think of an excuse to leave. No guarantees though. And your paying since I'm getting out of school for this."
Korra-" I was planning on it anyways. So see ya in a bit?"
Asami-" possibly."
Korra-" alright bye."
She hung up the phone and got up. She asked Wan to see if he could come over later since she needs to talk to him and of course he agreed. Korra walked over and grabbed the hand mirror Wu gave her and looked at her face. "Just a cut on my nose and my lip is messed up a bit." She says. She puts a bandaid over her nose. She quickly changed into a pair of grey sweats and a fitted white long sleeve.
