Chapter Twenty Eight

Korra groaned as she got up. Her back aches from the stiff bed. Naga happily became her alarm since she woke up at the ass crack of down. Today she went back to school which she dreaded. Seeing all the faces of random kids and dealing with teachers and it just wasn't it for her. However she can't miss anymore days.

She put on her clothes and gave Naga some food and water. The door opened revealing Zaheer. "Here. Your new phone. Both mine and bosses number is on their as well as your parents. They're expecting a call later. Don't loose this phone." He says and walks right out. Korra looked at the phone. They were smart this time. Bought a phone that can't be tracked and it was old. She lifted it and the key board slid out.

"Wow these are old. Well it's what I have to deal with. Anyways I'm going to head to school. Wan will be over soon." She kisses Naga goodbye before walking her way to school. Of course Asami was waiting by her locker but so were Wu and Opal. She's noticed the three of them have been acting off every since she came back. She didn't know why but she wanted to figure it out.

A little thought in the back of her head tell her they know but she declines it. They can't know. She kept it hidden. Plus if they did- no she couldn't think about it. She didn't want to. She just walked up to her locker. "My locker a popular hangout now?" She asked the three. "No, we just wanted to tag along. Hey we were wondering after boxing you wanted to come over?" Wu asked quickly.

That's the thing that brought the little voice in the back of her mind. Then constantly asking her to come over to their place. They have always hung out a lot but not like this. Especially when she said no they would make this certain face you would miss if you weren't paying attention. "Uh I don't think I can but I'll text you. Oh speaking of that I got a new phone." She says pulling out hers. They all stared at it.

"Wow I thought these would be considered fossils." Wu says. Korra pouts pulling it back in her pocket. "No ass face. It's not that old. I don't think anyways I have a phone that can text and call it should be enough. Now let's get to class, I'm to tired to deal with all of you in the morning." Korra says. Opal fake gasped being hurt and so does Wu. "You know Korra I'm going to remember that." Asami says. Korra raises a brow.

The bell rang and she went to give Asami her quick morning kiss until she turned her face and the kiss landed on her cheek. Korra retracted here head back and gasped. "You ass muncher. You know what fine two can play at that game." She says smugly walking into her class. Asami stood there for a minute processing what Korra said. "Did she just-? Call me a ass muncher? This is war."

It was like that for their lunch time as well. Both of them sitting next to each other, purposely teasing each other. Korra smiles in victory as she reached across Asami to grab something and saw her fist clenched and breath hitches. "So Korra I was thinking. You've met all of our parents but we haven't met yours yet." Bolin says out of the blue. Opal loves her boyfriend dearly but times like these she wished she could just punch him.

Korra posture and face stiffened. "Well you won't have any luck since they live in the south." She shrugged. Clearly hinting not to continue but Bolin being well Bolin continued, the hint flying over his head. "Oh well then how about your uncle? At least we could meet him?" Everyone stiffened. "He's too busy and doesn't like people so there is no meeting him." "Oh. Well I'm sure he'll like us. Maybe I'd we stand by the door or-." "No Bolin no means no. You're not meeting that man alright." She snaps.

Everyone at the table eyes widened have never seen Korra like that. It wasn't anger but more like fear and being protective. She saw Bolin eyes widened and his face softened. "I'm sorry I didn't meant to I just wanted to get to know your family." He says softly. Korra doesn't answer. She gets up and leaves. Opal went over to comfort her boyfriend just explaining family is a sensitive topic for Korra. Wu looked at Asami as she got up to follow Korra. Korra headed straight towards the locker room closing the door behind her.
