Sydney's Pov
I woke up and seen Gus was gone. I then looked to see him in the corner chair of my room asleep. He was too gentleman for his own good. I walked towards him as quietly as I could and then decided to play a prank on him since he scared me in the woods the other day. I went downstairs and grabbed some raspberries and blackberries from the fridge. I squeezed them so some juice got on my hands and I also put some down my eyes. I laughed evilly. I then went back upstairs and went into the bathroom to close the door. When I looked in the mirror I messed up my hair a bit more, too. I then started to scream as loud as I possibly could.
"Gus!!! Help me!! I think I'm dying!!!"
I waited on him to notice and before I knew it I could hear him calling my name. I curled up on the floor and giggled but then stopped so he wouldn't hear.
"Sydney! Sydney what's wrong?!" "I'm in the bathroom! I don't know what's happening to me!"
He came running in and I started acting hurt.
"Let me see. Where are you hurt?"
I looked up at him and his face looked so worried. I wanted to laugh but I couldn't. I had to play my prank out a little longer.
"I woke up and my eyes started to bleed! What's happening to me?!"
I started to wail in pain and Gus just looked scared. Like he didn't want to touch me because he thought he'd hurt me more but he wanted to fix me.
"O-Okay, I'll get Julian. I'll see if he can do something."
I finally started to laugh. He looked at me in shock which only made me laugh harder.
"Ha! I scared you like how you scared me yesterday in the woods." "Wait..so you're not really hurt?!" "No. I'm not hurt. I wasted some really good fruit for this prank though."
I started to lick one of my fingers.
"Yup, still tastes like good ol' raspberry and blackberry."
With the look he had on his face I started to laugh again.
"You actually scared me Sydney. I was going to go get Julian. And I hate Julian." "Yeah. I still don't understand why that is exactly."
Me and Gus both looked towards where we heard the extra voice from and of course Julian was standing in the doorframe leaning against it.
"Why do you always just show up at my house? It's kinda stalkerish at this point." "Stalkerish isn't a word doll face. And I'm here to talk to you." "Oh. Well, let me get dressed first then we can talk."
Gus looked back at me with an eyebrow raised.
"About what?" "About nothing probably. You know Julian and how he's like..super cray." "Are you lying to me?"
I shook my head no, knowing good and well I was lying to him. Right to his face. And the more I started to think about that, the more I felt bad. But I knew if he knew I was still trying to find a way to bring him back to life, and with Julian nonetheless, that he'd be pissed with me.
"No. She isn't lying to you. We're not gonna talk about anything important so there's no need to worry your pretty little head." "Ya know, your accent makes you sound so much more like an asshole sometimes." "Hey. Don't be mad with me because you don't have a sexy accent. Sydney loves it though, don't you doll face?"
I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"What did I say about calling me doll face?" "Not to call you that which makes me want to call you it even more."
Gus stared him down.
"She said stop calling her it. So stop it. Weirdo." "I'm the weirdo. But you guys are the ones standing in Sydney's bathroom together and Sydney has red stains all over her eyes and hands." "Get out." "Well, that must've hit close to home didn't it?" "Get out now Julian." "Fine. Fine. I know not to stay where I'm not wanted. But, you guys are the weirdos, not me."
He smiled then disappeared. Gus then looked at me again.
"So..you're not lying to me right? Julian had nothing to tell you?" "I'm not lying Gus. He probably had nothing important to say. Probably just came by to bother us because you know he has nothing better to do." "Yeah. I guess you're right. But hey, I wanted to ask you something but you fell asleep on me last night." "Hit me." "Did you write all of that poem that I read to you?" "Yeah. I did. I wrote it long ago but I always kept it." "What did you call it..I seen that there was no title." "Blue aura. I guess I just never wrote that down." "Do you...do you have anymore?" "Yeah. I think I have another. Maybe tonight I'll read it to you instead." "I'd like that a lot actually."
I could see Gus blushing a little and I thought it was adorable that he was so shy asking about my poems.
"What are you gonna get into today?" "Well I was thinking me and you could go to the store together and get some more food for the house and then we could stay in and watch some cartoons or something." "That sounds nice." "Are you sure? Cause if it doesn't we can-." "I'd love to stay in and watch cartoons with you Sydney." "What do you think we should-."
Before I could finish my sentence there was a knock on the door downstairs.
"I'll be back."
He nodded and I went downstairs to check who it was at the door. When I opened it, it was Jessie and Amanda. They both walked in when I opened the door and I went to sit on the couch.
"What brings you girls here?"
They sat down too and looked at me.
Jessie said,"Today we're going out." "Out where?" "We were thinking about having a spa day."
Amanda said,"Yeah. I could use some pampering. And I need to look my best for my date tomorrow."
I smiled and said,"Who's the lucky guy?" "His name is Gerald and he's actually like, super sweet. He's also hot as fuck." "Well, I'm happy for you." "Thanks."
Jessie said,"So, are you coming with us or not?" "I don't know girls. I've been feeling a little sick lately."
I started fake coughing and Amanda rolled her eyes at me.
"Girl, we know you're faking. You're coming with us."
Jessie said,"Yeah, you need some time out of this house. So go get dressed and we'll be waiting in the car." "Fine."
I sighed and Amanda said,"Thatta girl."
I walked upstairs and seen that Gus wasn't in the bathroom or my room anymore but I then seen a note on the bathroom counter. I picked it up and smiled as I read it.
'I know you're hanging out with your friends today. We can chill later when you get back home. Also have fun with your friends. :)
-Gustav'
I put the note back down and started getting ready.
