"Sydney, he's not real." "He is. He is real. I know it. I seen him." "Honey, he's not. I wish he were so you could be happy but he's not."
I let the tears fall and just sighed.
"He is real."
I woke up and I seen Gus was still in the chair in the corner of my room asleep. I thought he would've disappeared by now but, he was here. I seen the cover was falling off of him so I went over to him and put it all the way back on him. I then went to get ready for the day. Once I was completely done and my afro was puffed out to its best I went downstairs and grabbed myself an apple and started eating it. When I was almost finished with it knocks came to my front door. I went to see who it was and it was Jessie and Amanda. I opened the door for them and they both came walking in. I continued finishing my apple.
Jessie said,"So, how have you been?" "I've been okay. What's with the surprise visit?" "Well, me and Amanda thought it'd be nice for you to go out with us tonight." "Where?" "To the club. It'll be fun." "I don't know guys. I don't think I'm really up for clubbing tonight." "You're going. And we're about to go to the mall and pick us out some outfits." "Do I have to go tonight? Like, will you guys be pissed at me if I don't go or somethin?"
Amanda said,"I will."
I rolled my eyes then went to throw my apple core away. I came back and looked at the two of them.
"Fine, I'll go. But one of you is buyin my stuff, kay?"
Jessie said,"I will."
Amanda said,"I'll get everything else you want for your outfit."
I sighed then we went to get into Amanda's car. Once we got to the mall I tried going to Hot Topic but the girls dragged me somewhere else.
Jessie said,"Girl, you've gotta try a different store. Hot Topic will still be there later." "But-." "No buts. We are going to get you something girly for tonight and that's it." "Hm."
She smiled at how annoyed I was and they continued taking me to the store of their choosing. As soon as they got there they branched off to start finding stuff and I started looking for something myself. After some time had passed by of me looking Jessie came running towards me with an outfit in her hand.
"What is that?" "What you're about to go try on. Cmon."
She took me to the dressing rooms and I went in to try the outfit on. Once it was on I was looking at myself in the mirror and I liked it but I didn't. It seemed too showy and I didn't really wanna be showy tonight. I came out of the dressing room and Amanda and Jessie were waiting on me. When Amanda seen it she smiled.

Amanda said,"Yesss. You would look totally hot in that. And with your afro it looks cute as fuck."
Jessie said,"You look good and I think you should definitely do that one."
I looked between them knowing they'd make me buy it anyway even it wasn't what I wore tonight.
"Fine. We'll get this."
They started celebrating and I rolled my eyes playfully then went back in the dressing room to change back into my regular clothes. I came back out and handed the outfit to Jessie then walked around with them until they found something to wear. After we had gotten our outfits we went to find heels, accessories and Amanda even bought some make up. Once we were fully done we went to get something to eat. We had panda express and when we were done eating they went back to their houses after they dropped me off at mine. Amanda said to be ready by 9:00pm so I had lots of time to kill. When I was back home I set my new stuff on the couch. Then I called out for Gus.
"Gus?! Are you around?!" "I'm right next to you."
I jumped once I heard his voice then he showed himself. I hit him and he laughed.
"Don't scare me like that." "Sorry, I ain't mean to." "Have you been waiting around for me?" "Well, after you went downstairs I left and I ended up hanging out with the asshole after awhile. He's kinda cool though surprisingly. I finally figured out his name, too." "His real name?" "Probably not. But, he said it's Julian." "Hm. Well at least now you can call him something." "Yeah..but anyways, where'd you go?" "I went to the mall with the girls and they bought me some stuff for the club tonight to wear." "Okay so, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you don't wanna go." "How could you tell?" "I just can I guess. I won't bother you while you're there though I promise." "You wouldn't bother me." "Yeah but, I'd make you look crazy in front of other people and your friends and I don't wanna ruin anything." "Gus, you're not ruining anything. Stop thinking like that. Like I said before, I like having you around."
He smiled a little and I sat on the couch tiredly. Gus came and sat down too after he lifted my legs up and put them across his lap.
"So, what did you and Julian do together?" "We didn't do much, we talked for a minute about some stuff then he disappeared like always." "Well, I think I'm gonna take a nap." "Okay. I'll go then and-." "No. Why would you leave?" "So you can nap." "I can nap perfectly fine with you here. And my legs are comfortable anyways so, you're not going anywhere."
He smiled again and I then said,"Glitch my cover down here please."
He did what I said and once it was in his hands he started putting it over me. I then started falling asleep.
