George was waiting at a park bench for his new friend. He was picking at his nails before his hair being ruffled and someone sitting on the bench in front of him.

"Hello Georgie!" Clay said, putting his bag on the ground next to him

"Okay what did I say about that nickname?"

"Oh yes of course Sir George, my apologies." Clay mocked

"You're ridiculous."

"Oh, but Georgie I made us sandwiches.. I guess I can just go though since i'm ridiculous."

"Wait. What kind of sandwich are we talking?"

"Roast beef."

"Fine you can stay."

"Easily convinced huh?" Clay smirked

"When it comes to sandwiches, I suppose so" George said, raking his fingers through his hair as he spoke

"Well in that case, would you like one?"

"Isn't that obvious? Hand me one."

Clay nodded and reached for his bag, opening it up and grabbing the small brown paper bag that lays inside.
Clay opens the bad and grabs the two bagged sandwiches, handing one to his new friend and the other to himself.

As they ate together, they had relatively small talk about themselves, to get to know each other.

"Wait, you actually ran away from school?" George laughed as he ate his sandwich

"I know, not my hottest moment." Clay spoke as he took his last bite of his sandwich

"So are you in college?" George asked, as he carefully studied Clay's face

"I decided to take a gap year after high school and I just haven't signed up for any classes yet. I graduated almost two years ago so I need to start soon."

"I get you, I start next fall and I nervous as hell."

Clay looked up when George finished his sentence, thinking George was a lot older he asked

"You just graduated?"

"Yeah, a few months ago. I'm only 18"

Clay slightly rose his eyebrow but shook it off as he stood up.

"And where are you going?" George said as he rose with him

Clay chuckled

"I'm going to the trash can, is that okay or will you miss me too much?" Clay said as he smirked and collected the trash on the picnic bench

"Hm." George quickly sat back down, a bit flustered

Once Clay returned, George was zoned out, staring out at the bay in front of them

"You want to go take a look?" Clay said as he moved over to George's side of the picnic bench.

George only nodded as he stood up and quickly walked over to the bay and say down in the grass

Clay followed and sat down beside him and admired the view in front of him

Well. Views.

"Oh! I totally forgot, I brought something for us." Clay spoke again after zoning back into reality. George looked over at him in curiosity

"I brought this" Clay reached into the pocket of his black leather jacket and grabbed a portable cd player

"I already have one. I bought one yesterday" George looked at him, confused
