BACKSTORY

Freya and Ymir were orphans and beggars on the streets of Marley, especially since they were eldian they didn't expect much from people.

That was until a man came and wanted to adopt two siblings, it just so happened that he picked those two.

Freya POV

To be honest I don't remember much about my life before being adopted.

Me and my older sister and other siblings (not our own) had to stand outside for a man to adopt us. He shone the light to our faces and said, "How're these kids?"

"Yeah"

"Hey, you two. You're going to come live with us from now on." He said while crouching in front of us, and of course we went.

We didn't have a choice.

He held our hands and led us to our new home, I wasn't sure how to feel at the moment all I knew was that I was upset to leave my friends behind but at least I had my sister with me.

He put us in new clothing and almost as soon we arrived we were treated like royalty.

We sat in tall chairs and people stood in front of us. The man who 'adopted' us gave us new names, Ymir and Freya. Supposedly after the two sisters, Ymir Fritz and Freya Fritz, who made a deal with the devil in turn to have immense power and become the first of all the titans.

He told us we inherited the blood of the king which was complete bullshit but we went along with it anyway.

He introduced us to the people in white clothing who would now become our followers and what would also lead to our demise.

"It is Lady Ymir and Lady Freya who inherits the blood of the king," he said in a calm but powerful voice "as long as Lady Ymir and Freya are with us we'll be blessed with immortality."

"Wow!"

"Lady Ymir..."

"Lady Freya."

They gawked at us as if they just saw God himself. I guess that is what they thought they were seeing though. Haha.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the attention I was receiving.

The amazing food.

The kind people.

We had a home.

It felt as if I was in the drivers seat for once in my life.

Ymir has similar reasons, but one important one was the fact that she felt as if she was needed. Even though I needed her too.

I guess she just never realized.

Year 785

One tragic day, soldiers came rushing in and held us at gunpoint. But in the back of my mind I always knew this dream would have to come crashing down one day, I just thought me and Ymir would have more time.
