❧prologue

Haru D. Alex POV

Roger walks back on the ship with a 11 year old girl on his back, "Who's that Roger?" I ask, she looks oddly like him.

Kami POV

I watch from Nii-san's back as he approaches what he called his pirate crew, "Who's that Roger?" A purple haired man asks, Nii-san lets me get off his back. I look up at my big brother, "Nii-san, is this your pirate crew?" I ask.

He nods while smiling, "NII-SAN?!?!?!" The entire crew shouts, "Everyone, meet my younger sister, Gol D. Kami." Nii-san says with his smile ever present. "SISTER?!?!" They yell, I give them an identical smile to my brothers, "Yep!" I say.

Alex POV

Kami gives us an identical smile to Rogers, "Yep!" She says, I could practically see a younger version of Roger from when he recruited me right next to her. I then notice the sword by her side, so she's a swordswomen.

Kami immediately gravitates to Shanks and Buggy, I smile, I can tell that those three are gonna be friends for a long time.

-Time Skip & Kami's POV-

"Nii-san, you didn't have to do that." I tell my big brother, Nii-san just laughs.

-Time Skip-

"Sugoi! You can read those weird letters?" I ask Oden-san from beside my brother, "Yeah, I can, all members of the Kozuki clan can read them." Oden answers, "That's so cool! Nii-san and I can only hear what they say sometimes!" I say.

"Do you think you could teach me how to read them Oden-san?" I ask, he just looks at me in confusion, "Possibly, but why do you want to read them?" He asks. "They are so interesting! I want to know what they say!" I exclaim.

-Small Time Skip-

"Whitebeard-san." I say to the tall captain, he looks down at me, "Yes?" He answers. "That Teach kid you picked up, I have a bad feeling about him." I tell him, "Considering how many times that brother of yours has trusted those feelings you get, I'll take that into consideration." He says.

-Time Skip-

"Will be born... Our ruler will be born..." I hear someone say, I start to look around, I wonder who said that. I look at the sea kings, the black and white one looks at me, I tilt my head to the side.

-Time Skip-

I look at the giant elephant, it sounds sad, "You... can... tell... that... I'm... sad...?" A voice asks. I frown, "Is something wrong Kami?" Nii-san asks, "It sounds sad." I say.

-Time Skip-

"I'll go." I say, they all look at me, "I'll go with you Nii-san." I say. He grins, "Great! My imōto can come with me!" He exclaims

-Time Skip-

I lean against Nii-san, "I don't want you to go Nii-san." I say, "I know imōto, but I have to." He says. Nii-san brings me into a hug, "I love you Kami, and I'll always be with you." He says, "I love you too, Nii-san." I say, and hug him back.

-Time Skip & Roger's POV-

I catch Kami's eyes, she looked sad, 'Goodbye brother.' She mouths to me. I slightly smile, 'Goodbye sister.' I think

Kami POV

I watch as Nii-san is executed, the crowd cheers, I use my hand to cover my eyes. I walk back to Alex-sensei, I let the tears out, I'll always protect family. Alex-sensei taps me on the shoulder, I turn to him.

"What sensei?" I ask, "I'm gonna be a father soon, and if you ever meet my daughter out on sea, please tell her I love her. I know that the marines will come after me, so I might not get to see her grow up." He says.

I look him in the eyes, I nod, "Okay sensei." I say, he grins.
