Hikari POV

"If Megami really is my mom, then why did she abandon me?" I spit, it goes silent, Etsu looks me in the eyes. "You may be our captain's daughter, but we won't hesitate to take down any one who insults our captain." Etsu says.

I freeze, "Kid, the only thing Kami wanted was to protect you." Kasumi says, "Kami is willing to do anything for you. Hikari, you mean that much to her." Hanami says. I frown, "Still, why would she give me up to Gramps?!" I exclaim.

"Kami never wanted to give you up, but she knew that you would be hunted down for your family, and that she never wanted you to grow up in the life of a pirate." Etsu says, "Hunted down for my family?" I question.

"So, you don't know." Kaede says, "Your mother is the younger sister to Gol D. Roger, or as you know him, Gold Roger." Izumi says, I stare at them. "Wait, Ace is my cousin?" I ask, "Yeah! I guess he is." Maemi says.

"Your actual name is Gol D. Hikari, and your the daughter of Gol D. Kami and Shanks. According to what Etsu has told us, the two had a drunken one night stand when they were 22, and thus you were created. We can all tell that both of them still love each other, but after that night, Shanks just left Kami alone. Kami still loved Shanks, and when she found out about you, she loved you, even if you were the result of a drunken one night stand." Hanami explains.

"Shanks had no idea that he got Kami pregnant, and during her pregnancy, Kami tried to seek Shanks out to tell him, but couldn't find him." Kasumi says, "When you were finally born, I could tell that in her mind, nothing mattered more than you. She named you Hikari cause you were her light." Sage adds.

"And then she had to give me up, but why Garp?" I ask, "Her brother trusted Garp, so she trusted him." Etsu says.
