I woke up next to JJ, turning my head to face him, seeing that he was staring up at the ceiling.
"You alright?" I asked, pulling his attention to me.
"I could get used to this, you know." He smirked as I took a deep breath.
"It's not all it's cracked up to be." I whispered as he sat up slightly, leaning over me, making me become suddenly aware that we were both still nude.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure being super rich sucks." He retorted, me shrugging in return.
"No, being rich is awesome, it's being a kook that sucks." I replied, "I'd rather be a pogue, but still have money. Just have it quietly, and not show it off like everyone does over here."
"Sounds like a dream." He smirked, his hand sliding onto my hip as he leaned down slowly, his lips pressing to mine. My hand rolled up behind his neck, as my other pressed to his chest. As we pulled away from the kiss my hand moved up behind his head, him keeping his eyes closed and pushing his forehead against mine.
"We should probably go over to John B's, make sure he's okay." I whispered, scratching the back of his head.
"Mmhmm." He moaned, nodding slightly as he lowered on top of me, resting his head on my chest as I continued scratching his head.
"No seriously, we really should go." I insisted and he nodded.
"Five more minutes." He groaned, making me laugh.
"Come on, JJ." I laughed and he nodded, sitting up off of me, allowing me to get out of bed. I started walking towards my closet, glancing over my shoulder to see JJ's eyes piercing into my body. I dressed in a tee shirt and some denim shorts, throwing on my sneakers and leaving my room to see that JJ had gotten dressed as well. I sent him a smile, walking passed him and over to the window, opening it and climbing through, making JJ follow me. His hand held onto my lower back as we made our way down the roof, gripping onto my shorts for support. As we reached the edge, I leaned down to hold onto the roof, before jumping off, JJ following. I grabbed hold of his hand as we walked down the street, our arms bumping against the other as we walked. We reached the wreck, I glanced through the window to see the other three inside.
"Oh, they're in there." I announced as JJ dropped my hand, walking ahead of me as we made our way inside, hearing a conversation starting.

"I'm sorry. You're staying where?" Kie asked as she grabbed some milkshakes, making two extra as she noticed us walk in.
"Tannyhill." John B answered, my jaw dropping as I sent Pope a look, him nodding back at me.
"So you're living with Sarah Cameron?" I asked, turning John B's attention towards me and JJ as we made our way to the table that Pope was sitting at.
"Okay, look, the only reason I'm living there is because her dad bailed me out, right?" John B answered as we sat down, "And it's way better than foster care, which, by the way, is where I was about to go if Ward didn't..."
"Hey, so do you have a membership to the clubs now?" Pope cut him off, as I heard JJ chuckle.
"I don't know, Pope." John B answered as he sat down.
"What about those golf carts they drive around? You get one of them?" JJ smirked, Pope reclining in his seat, resting his hands behind his head.
"Does it come with a sweater-vest, or do you have to buy one on your own?" He asked, making me laugh.
"Look, you promised." Kie stated, killing the mood of the conversation entirely. "You said you weren't with her."
"Bro, just own it. She got you." JJ told John B and I nodded.
"Look, if you wanna hang out with her, that's fine." I stated, shrugging, "But I'm letting you know now, that I'm not doing anything with Sarah."
"Me neither." Kie agreed.
"Do you guys see her here?" John B asked, glancing between the two of us. "No, right. Okay. A little focus would be fantastic. We've got the map, right?"
"It's out of whack 'cause the guy was ganja'd when he drew it." JJ announced and I shook my head as a smile crawled onto my face.
"It's 'cause the coast has changed." I replied and JJ nodded slightly, mouthing 'ooohhh'.
"Exactly. So we just have to look for landmarks that haven't changed." Pope stated, John B's eyes growing wide.
"What about the old forts?" John B asked and Kie nodded.
"Battery Jasper." She decided, all of us instantly rising from our table and making our way outside to where the van was parked; Kie getting in the drivers side, with John B in the front, JJ and Pope behind the front seat and me at the back as we made our way to Battery.

When we pulled up, we all climbed out of the van as Pope put the map on the ground.
"We're in Battery, right here." He announced, pointing to a part on the map, "So if this is parcel nine, then it's somewhere northeast of here."
"Somehwere over there." I answered, pointing into the distance.
"Right." Pope agreed.
"Over there? Guy's, that's not Tannyhill, that's a subdivision." JJ stated and my brow furrowed as well.
"Tannyhill Plantation used to be the entire island." John B explained, "It got sold into smaller pieces over time."
"So we're just looking for an old stone wall." Pope announced, pointing to the map again before we all piled into the van, driving to Pope's directions.

"Okay, so the road should split up here." Pope instructed and John B nodded.
"Okay." John B answered.
"All right. You're gonna take a left." Pope told and John B did so, I glanced over to JJ, who met my eyes and returned a small smile.
"That looks like a stone wall to me." JJ stated as I looked through the window, nodding at his words.
"This is it." John B answered as I moved closer to the window, seeing an old house perched on the ground like a gargoyle on the Notre Dame. "Not the Crain house." We exited the van starting to walk towards the house.
"Are you kidding me?" Kie asked as JJ caught up to her.
"Worst-case scenario." He chimed in.
"Why'd it have to be here... of all places?" Pope nodded and my brow furrowed.
"What's so wrong with this house?" I asked as Pope looked at me.
"It's rumoured that the lady who lives here killed her husband." He answered and JJ nodded.
"I heard that Mrs. Crain buried her husband's head on the property."
