Coming Home to You

This is a poem I wrote about my mom. It's a bit personal, but I hope you enjoy it. It's about me forgiving her one day (which I doubt will happen) and I actually help her out of her situation. She's actually in prison right now and a few days ago she wrote a letter to me asking for money. Keep in mind she hasn't seen me or tried to be in my life for the past 17 years. So enjoy.

;-;

I don't know why you are here
Why can't your intensions be clear
I'm not sure if I should be scared
Or if I should cover the flesh that lays bare

When I look at you I see a mirror
It reflects my past and my unfortunate future
I can't just walk away from you right now
I must stay cause I'm home bound

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home to you

They shove the paper in my face
I try to sign them but I throw them away
I can't deal with all the legal shit
But I'll help you when realization hits

When I look at you I see a mirror
It reflects my past and my unfortunate future
I can't just walk away from you right now
I must stay cause I'm home bound

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home to you

The good times and the bad times wash over me as I step through the door
One day I know you will forgive me but until then my wounds are still sore

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home to you

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
I'm coming home to you
