I was watching 'UP' and I felt compelled to write this for the opening scenes where it shows the old mans story.
;-;
Coffee and dried bread are the only things I can sense
A gold ring on your finger complements your friends
The stiffness in the air is making me sweat as I smile politely at you
You dismiss my discomfort and tend to your guests even though they hate youI wish I was worth my weight in gold and I
Can see even though you've grown old you still
Care and worry about me
You care about me
But baby don't you understand, I'm jacked and I
Can't comprehend affection, but you say
No and you won't goYour seconds away from walking through the golden gates
I say my final goodbyes, look at you and cry but it was too late
I loved you, now your gone, we were so young now the reaper has won
What will I do without you?I wish I was worth my weight in gold and I
Can see even though you've grown old you still
Care and worry about me
You care and worry
But baby don't you understand I'm jacked and I
Can't comprehend affection but you say
No and you won't goI guess the sensation of our love will end quick enough for me to instantly land on my hands and knees and beg for mercy.
Any form of drug will do, soon you might strap me to the stretcher and I'll meet you in the sky, just me and you.I wish I was worth my weight in gold and I
Can see even though you've grown old you still
Care and worry about me
You care about me
But baby don't you understand I'm jacked and I
Can't comprehend affection but you say
