Tw: Cursing

Still Sal's POV lol:
I walked down the hallway of the apartments to the elevator, where I clicked the button to reach Larry's room. We had just gotten off of a previous week-long break, and today was the start of a new semester at Nockfell High. It was frustrating, one whole week of peace then you come back to hell. I wasn't bad at school by any means, I just.. didn't like it. The building kinda gives me the creeps, too. And that's coming from someone who's seen real ghosts in front of his very eyes.

The elevator beeped as a sign for me to get out, and I did so. I walked over to Larry's room and knocked on the door, with our signature "one-two-one-three" knock, so we always knew who was at the door. I heard some bumping noises, and a thud, followed by a voice calling out. "I'll be there in a sec- hold on-!" Yep, that was Larry. He probably slept in again..

After a few minutes passed, the doorknob shook and Larry walked out of the doorway. His long greasy brown hair flowed down past his shoulders, and he was wearing his classic Sanity's Fall t-shirt with a pair of blue jeans. He wore his backpack around one shoulder, and he kept his hands in his pocket.

"Morning dude, ready for hell?" He said with a joking smile, and I laughed. "Psh, like I'm ever ready."  I nudged his shoulder with my elbow, and he scruffed up my hair with his fist as a response. "Hey!" I yelled at him playfully, and he laughed. "That's what you get for not being tall, shortie." Larry laughed once again, and I scoffed at him. "You asshole-" I said to him jokingly, and he snickered.

We started walking back to the elevator and clicked the button to go to the first floor. It was only one floor up, but there were no stairs, so the elevator was our only option. Me and Larry stood in silence the whole time, Larry was just scrolling through social media on his phone while I leaned against the metal wall of the elevator. The familiar beep signaled for us to leave, and we headed out, walking past all the rooms and to the entrance.
"Do you think we should wait for Todd?"  Larry broke the silence, and I shook my head. "He's probably already on his way, you know how he usually gets to school early." I said, looking up at Larry. "Yeah, you're right. I guess we better get going then, can't be late, or we'll be killed." He giggled. "Heh, yeah." I smiled under my prosthetic, and we headed out the doorway.

The school wasn't too far from the apartments, so me and Larry usually walked there together. Todd would occasionally join us, but he tended to get to school early. They don't call him a star student for nothing. Chug usually gets his parents to drop him off on their way to work, so he barely joins us either.

After some walking, me and Larry rounded the corner to see the one and only building of horrors, Nockfell Highschool. There were kids flooding into the building, heads of brown, blonde, black, and occasionally bright pink or purple hair bobbed around in the crowd. Larry gave me a look to indicate that he was gonna head to class, and I nodded at him, and went my own way as well.

I glided through the sea of people, mumbling an "excuse me" or "sorry" every time I bumped into someone. I reached the hallway after what seemed like ages, and was greeted by the smell of mold and old paper. Bleh. My nose scrunched at the smell, usually I didn't mind it, but I was away from it for so long that I now had to re-adjust to the stench.

I made my way to my locker, as I walked down the hallway I stared at the marble floors. The walls were tan, and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. As soon as I reached my locker I started punching my dumb code in. The door opened, and I was honestly shocked. "Can't believe I actually remembered my code for once.." I mumbled to myself.

My locker was full of unorganized papers, books, and art supplies. I had a small Polaroid picture of me, Ash, Todd, and Larry from Halloween taped to the inside of the door. I smiled a bit at the sight of the photo. That night was so awesome. "Hey Sal!" A voice broke through my train of thought, making me jump a bit. I turned around to see Ashley standing behind me, two textbooks in her hands. "Oh- hey Ash." I said, looking up at her emerald green eyes.

"How are ya?" She asked, a slight smile on her face. I considered telling her about my dream, but it didn't seem like the right time. "Eh, I'm good." I replied, going back to grabbing my textbooks. "Well, that's always nice to hear." She said, walking to my side and opening in her locker. "So what's your new schedule?" She added after a while.

Oh. New semester, new schedule- duh. "I actually haven't checked mine yet.. but I'm pretty sure my first class is science, and then math with Mrs. Packerton." I said, with an unintentional nervous tone to my voice. "Ugh, Packerton? That old raisin sucks. I'm sorry for you man." Ash exaggerated. "Wh- She can't be that bad, you're just overreacting." I rolled my eyes at her, and she shrugged. "You'll see." And as if on cue, the bell rang, and it was time to head to class.
