Sarutobu Hiruzen took a deep breath of relief when the eyes of the child opened.

The pupils were wide at first, dilated, trying to gather as much light as they could and make sense of his surrounding, dull and unfocused. Uzumaki Naruto was gasping, taking deep breaths, Hiruzen could see the frown of confusion and panic on his childish face

He sighed in relief only to pull his hands in front of him to shield himself as a burst of chakra erupted from the child. He nearly fell to his knees, pressure of the thick chakra too heavy on him, too sudden and unexpected, he looked at the blue eyes now clear, sharp as they looked at him with disbelief.

Hiruzen gulped as he tried to push himself to stand straighter, the medics beside him had all passed out, his anbu guards gasping for breath where they had hit the walls after being flung by the outburst of chakra.

"Jiji." He heard the whisper cut so clear and sharp through the thick veil of chakra. Hiruzen looked at the boy. His eyes trembling as if he was seeing a ghost when the boy looked towards him. The boy tried to stand then fall back, the chakra disappearing as if never having existed. His back hit the bed again, his consciousness gone.

Hirugen staggered back to his feet, terrified. The boy had not woken up for three days, the anbu he had put on the boy had reported his sudden sickness. Hiruzen had brought the boy to the hospital with all the haste and done his best to gather the best medic in the village.

It was a coma, cause unknown, effects unknown, nobody understood what had happened for three days except a growing tattoo like seal on the boy's hand. Hiruzen had asked all his seal experts available at the moment to check the boy. All with minimal results.

Jiraiya was away and the best he could get was from Orochimaru, who had shook his head after his first check, "I don't understand this." The sannin had said to the utter confusion of the hokage because he had never heard those words from Orochimaru of all people.

"This one looks like Tsunade's seal while every thing else looks nothing more than channels" The snake Sannin had hissed. "No one understands Tsunade's seal other than her, not even I. And this one far outclasses that, far more condensed and too complex to even read past the primary inscription." The Sannin had confessed.
"I will look and see what I can find." Hiruzen had heard him say before the snake had yet again vanished into his hole.

Hiruzen couldn't understand his own feelings, stuck between restraining the child as a possible threat to the village after this development or hiding whatever that had happened to the jinchuriki and letting the child live on as nothing had happened.

He approached the boy, carefully, raising his hand as an Anbu tried to stop him. His aged eyes narrowed as they setteled onto the boy's hand, now free of the markings.

Hiruzen rose an eyebrow at the solitary diamond on the child's hand. A black outline of diamond with the skin inside the outline completely white.

"Never seen a white seal." Muttered Hiruzen as he eyed the previous black mark now changed.

What are you?

Naruto opened his eyes to the white ceiling, yet he saw the floor, the sides and behind his head, he saw white all around, at once, spinning.

He frowned as his nose burned with the smell. Chemicals, clothes, vomit and blood, so thick that he felt his stomach churn, his throat felt sour, his sense of smell so strong that his lungs compressed with all their might to expunge the pungent air.

He tried to close his nose, breathe through his mouth and stop the gag reflex he was having with air itself but he couldn't move his hands, they were heavy as lead.
