Talia POV-
*SMASH* I groaned as I threw my alarm clock across my room. I've never been a fan of mornings, I will enjoy them when I turn 18 and can leave this house and the foster system forever. I'm now living with my foster parents Dave and Angela, they make me wake up in the morning just to make them breakfast. They like it to be hot, but not too hot, they like it to be done by 7.30 bang on the dot, they want it with a hot cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. Outrageous. Who in their right mind has orange juice and coffee together?! Then again they aren't in their right mind and quite frankly they haven't been, or at least not when I've known them.
I've been living with them for the past three years, they don't care about me nor could I give two hoots about them either. I sleep there and I go back home for meetings with the social workers, otherwise, I'm out being the successful CEO of Blake Industries. That's my day job, I own multiple airlines, malls, helplines and other shit that I can't be bothered listing. You may wonder why live with the foster parents if you can afford a place of your own? Well to answer your question if they found out that the kid they foster is a multi-billionaire they would take advantage of that and demand that I fund their crack den. I can afford it but why help the people that beat me to a pulp when I'm supposedly asleep?
Let me start from the beginning. Hi, I'm Talia Blake Angel Arcardi I'm 17 years old. I've been in the foster system since I was two years old, I was left at the doorstep of a firehouse in New York with a stuffed elephant and a locket from my father. I have been to 20 foster homes in 15 years and the last one, Dave and Angela, only keep me around because I'm basically their personal maid. But not for long. Three years before I got put with Dave I was found out in the street starving, alone and on the brink of death. Granted it was by a group of muggers but still, they led to the best thing that has happened to me. Michael. He protected me from the men and had made it his mission to train me and shelter me. For the next two years, Mike had given food, shelter and training. I became 'The Angel of Death' to the underworld. I chose that name since it was fitting with my middle name, Angel. These past few years have been for focusing on my company and building my name up in the underworld. Let me tell you, it was worth it. I am now officially the best assassin in Central America and I rank in the top 3 IN THE WORLD. I have alliances with the mafia's all throughout the continents, Italian, English, Russian, Spanish, to top that off I am one of the most successful teens in the world.
From about the age of 5, I have been abused in all of my foster homes. I have been burned with frying pans, cut, whipped, starved, I even became someones personal ashtray. Rude. One home, the worst one, sold me for drugs. They used all their money that selling a little 10-year-old girl to old men for them to rape was the best idea they could come up with. These were the most traumatic years, yet your girl has dark humour so ya know if I don't laugh I will most likely have a mental breakdown and God knows I've had more than enough to last me about 10 years. I got diagnosed last year with severe anxiety and PTSD. The only thing that helps me is killing people but I couldn't exactly tell that to the therapist huh.
Enough of my backstory I've been lay in bed too long and the fosters are most likely gonna beat my ass if I don't do their breakfast, with their coffee and orange juice, which still disgusts me by the way. They're normally out of the house by 8:00 am meaning I can be ready and out the door by 8:30 to start work at 9:00. Since I'm the boss no one says anything to me they're all too scared of me to say anything except a brief 'Morning boss'. The fosters think I still go to school. I graduated high school at 12 and with Mike's help, I started my business at 14
After I made their breakfast I decided to go up and get ready, I decided to be a bad bitch today and wear a suit. Some days I show up in sweat cause.. why not? rather be comfortable and get a lot done than fuss over my outfit all day. I call my driver John to come and pick me up, John is personally my favourite member of staff, he never asks questions, he tells me about his family life. I know he is loyal to me due to the fact that I paid for his daughter's chemotherapy after she got diagnosed a year ago, it was successful and she's now on the road to recovery. Just because my family abandoned me doesn't mean I will sit back and watch other families suffer the I can do something to help.
