Welcome, strangers of distant lands and friends of old...

...to my first Tolkien-fashioned fiction!

(I know I know, forgive me. Only one sentence in and I'm already making cheesy LOTR references)

𝖂𝖔𝖗𝖉𝖘 𝖙𝖔 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕽𝖊𝖆𝖉𝖊𝖗𝖘:
(This is very important. I wouldn't recommend skipping. I will do my best to keep this brief.)

To make things short and sweet, this is the first novella of "The Outrider and the Halls of Realms" series. This series is going to be a prequel to an MCU/LOTR crossover.

If you're a fan from both of the fandoms, awesome! You really don't need to worry too much about the rest of this.

If you're a fan of just LOTR? Not to worry— this series can be read pretty much as a standalone and you really don't need to know much about Marvel and the Avengers to read this. The most that it's going to be referenced in this trilogy is pretty much just Norse mythology.

If you're a fan of just the MCU? Don't panic, I'll try to describe everything as best as I can. If you have any questions, just ask! {However, I'd really recommend at least watching the movies. They're freaking awesome. The books are a really good read too.}

THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS OF THE EVENTS OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS IN THESE BOOKS!! This is not a tenth walker style fanfiction.

These chapters will come in a lot shorter style, due to the fact that I'm already occupied with an unending list of commitments and I want to update this quickly!

These novellas are also the first outcome of my writing in a different style. So, if there are any cringe moments or just bad pieces of literature, you have my apologies. I will try and do my best, but I'm still a learning writer.

𝕳𝖊𝖑𝖕𝖋𝖚𝖑 𝕮𝖔𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖝𝖙 𝖙𝖔 𝕶𝖓𝖔𝖜:
-Legolas' personality will be a blend of his book and movie versions. I'm taking his sassy and kinda dumb attributes from the books, but I'm also keeping a lot of his cool traits from the movies. Tolkien kind of did Legolas dirty when it came to how interesting of a character he made him in the books.

-To prevent plot holes, I've decided that this will take place in between the events of The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. Legolas had momentarily returned to his Mirkwood right before the book begins. He also has not met Aragorn yet.

-Most of this book will have references to Tolkien lore and legend. If there are things that I have altered or added to the universe's history/storyline, I will be sure to mention it. If you're big Tolkien fans, I'd recommend brushing up on your elf history! I love elves like Glorfindel and Celebrimbor so I'll probably reference to them several times.

-I'll try my best to add any important information or short translations in the beginning of chapters. If there's anything I forgot about and you don't understand something, please don't hesitate to ask! I try my best to be interactive with my commenters and will answer any of your questions. Please, don't feel stupid if you don't understand something. It's most likely my fault for leaving something out.

𝕱𝖔𝖗𝖒𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖊𝖘:
-I, of course, don't own anything that Tolkien has created. I will only take credit for this storyline and any OC's.

-Since it usually takes a lot of time for an artist to respond with permission to use a piece of art as a reference, and time isn't exactly something I have, I will just be listing the owners of anything I enter into this book that isn't mine. I'll also try and find a link to the original source if I can.
