── ❝ Just like that hot summer, goodbye ❞ ──

"Noona, wake up." Junghwan shakes his sister's body aggressively, as he's been trying to wake her up for the past 6 minutes.

"I'm up, I'm up," Yina mumbles under her blanket, making Junghwan takes it away.

"It's 9 am. I thought you said that you're going somewhere today ?"

"Shoot." Yina looks at the clock briefly, before sprinting towards her bathroom. Junghwan scoffs and shakes his head, before tidying up Yina's bed.

As he walks out of the room, his eyes meet with his father's.

I should stop this whole bullshit.

"Father, I have something to discuss with you."
"Sure, my office."

Yina quickly dries her hair and takes out her makeup pouch. She has a plan with her friends today, and now she has like 30 minutes before their promised time.

She stayed up last night, finishing her remaining assignments, and also watched a few episodes of her favorite drama. She intended to only watch two episodes but ended up watching about 6 episodes in one sitting.

After texting her friends saying that she's on her way, she hears the 'conversation' coming from her father's office.

"Why are you defending that boy ? He's nothing."

"He's nothing to you, but he's everything to her. Why can't you be understanding for once ? Did you really expect her to listen to you when you don't even bother to listen to her ?"

Yina freezes after hearing Junghwan's arguments. This is the first time she knows about this side of Junghwan.

"What do you think you're saying now ?"

"If you can't respect her as your daughter, then respect her as a human being. I'm begging you."

Hearing Junghwan's footsteps getting closer to the door, Yina quickly walks downstairs and makes her way outside to their family driver who is already waiting.

"Quick, let's go. I don't want Junghwan to see me."
"Sure."

___

"Where are you guys bringing me to ?" Yina asks for the nth time, as her friends just cling onto her arms without saying anything.

"You'll like it."
"We're here."

Observing the park, Yina raises her eyebrows, being suspicious.

"Not here, come." again, they drag her towards a crowd in the middle of the park, facing an opened arena.

"What are we watching ?"
"Something. Now, be quiet."

Yina pouts, watching the empty arena. Soon after, familiar faces come up, changing her confused face.

What day is it today ? Ah. Right. Their busking.
