The Mask She Wore

Chapter Three

It was around nightime when we were about to leave the building. Mayuko and Yuri just went to the washroom quickly. As I was wandering around nearby I spotted a mask on one of the suspension bridges outside.

He had black curly hair and there was blood on his mask. I decided to deal with him myself since the girls were busy.

I met him on the bridge but he was weirder than the other masks I met, he was giggling almost as if he was enjoying killing..

All of a sudden two masks came out from behind a corner so I decided to back up a bit.

"Um hey look I'm a mask too and I checked the building no ones inside." I lied smoothly. But they didn't say anything, the black haired guy sent the girl mask forward so I quickly tilted the bridge to make her fall off.

"Well guess you guys will attack me now since I'm no longer under control, oh well." The girl mask was barely holding on then all of a sudden the mask covered in blood walked over to her and started stabbing her fingers. She immediately fell into the darkness as he giggled successfully.

"HEY WHAT THE HELL R U DOING AREN'T YOU ON THE SAME TEAM?" I shouted out, my hand on my weapon. The other two masks that didn't fall began heading towards me.

I could take one but I wasn't sure about a 2v1. I stood my ground prepared to fight when all of a sudden my head snapped in the direction of the building.

"Y/n we're here!" Yuri shouted out beside Mayuko who had a gun ready.

"I'm not a great shoot so if you get hit don't blame me." I stared questionly at her before she all of a sudden stared firing.

"WHAT THE FUCK MAYUKO IM NOT INVINCIBLE." I said while sticking to the ground. Oh shit the masks- I turned behind me only to notice the psycho one held the other mask as a shield against the bullets.

"Ugh you're so creepy." I said while getting up and pulling out my sword. He began charging towards Mayuko and barely skimmed her but while he was distracted I stabbed him.

"Hm he's still alive lets kill him Yuri." Mayuko spoke out.

"Wait! I need to ask him something, what happens when you look at the back of a mask."

"The moment you look its like you're instantly living in a dream, try to disobey and you'll just end up following their command. And you can't take it off either the brain washing- rather brain hacking..it won't allow you to return." He was about to say more before he went into shock and started choking on his own blood.

"Well that was gruesome, but atleast I probably became a mask due to someone showing me the code behind it."

After Yuri crushed up the mask as to not allow anyone else to become one by looking at the code it was getting close to morning. 

"Mayu do you know what time it is?"

"I'm not sure if it works here but I have this." Mayuko pulled out a phone and Yuri began freaking out.

"I'm gonna go hangout over there for a bit." I pointed to a further away part of the roof since I didn't want to deal with their chaos.

I still can't believe I'm stuck in a world like this, I stretched my hands above my head and yawned. A shine in the distance caught my eye and I immedately stood up.

"Is that a person?" I mumbled while trying to tell. I heard a shot fire and it landed right beside my head.

"Well that wasn't very kind of you." I said while staring in the direction that the bullet can from. Its weird they weren't shooting anymore.

"Eh I don't really want a pen pal so I'll just ignore them." I began heading back towards the girls.

"Yuri, Mayuko you guys ready to go?"

Hey everyone, in this chapter one of my favourite masks was introduced but then he died of course 👩‍🦯 Idk but I really appreciate the psycho masks okay. AND in this chapter we've almost been shot by sniper mask?? Rude bitch 🙄🙄
