"Maybe we should go find them?" It was getting dark and there was still no sign of Mayu or Yuri. "I understand your concern Y/n but we have no idea how many people are inside the hotel." He was right and that just made me more annoyed.

"Well we can't just stand around waiting! I hate this." I angrily glared at him, I wasn't mad at him but I was getting tired of doing nothing. "Just lay down and close your eyes, anxiously pacing around won't do you any good sweetheart." I huffed in defeat and sat down with my back against a wall, Kuon was further away and already sound asleep.

"So, how did you escape the control of your mask?" Sniper Mask asked while down beside me, close enough for our arms to touch. "Why aren't you sleeping near your girlfriend, S?" I interrupted him, more curious about whether Kuon and him were together.

A chuckle escaped his lips and I felt my face heat up. "Kuon isn't my girlfriend, I much prefer..a confident woman, someone who takes what she wants." My heart leaped at his comment. "And S? Is that a nickname for me, love?" I could feel his smirk through his mask as we stared at each other.

"Well it would be a bit inconvenient to call you Sniper Mask everytime so S is easier. If you don't like it I can just call you Mr. Mask like the chihuahua over there." I said while pointing towards the curled up Kuon not too far away.

"Honestly a chihuahua fits her." He chuckled and I quickly looked towards the sky to try and calm my heart. I just met him but for some reason I was hyper aware of his entire being. Every laugh, touch, action, S was intoxicating.

"So back to my question, how did you escape the control of your mask?" I let out a groan, I was getting tired of explaining what happened. "Well I was under the control of the mask for a while, one day I ran into Mayuko and Yuri. Apparently, I was friends with Yuri in the past and she recognized me. Unfortunately, the mask's control was too intense and I began charging at them. Before I knew it a grenade was in front of me and it blew up, damaging my mask in the process. Honestly, I'm just grateful to have been freed from the mask, it was..awful." I shivered at the memory of death.

"Hey it's alright, it's over now, you're free." He murmured reassuring words while leaning against me. "It was just..so scary. Watching yourself do that to someone? I felt like I was going to go insane." I looked into S' eyes and I could see the knowing feeling hidden behind his walls. "Can we just pretend like we're two teenagers stargazing or something?" I asked sadly, I needed something normal.

"Come here Y/n." Before I could even answer, his strong arms snaked around my waist, tugging me close against his chest. As I straddled him, he tucked his face into my neck and breathed deeply, shivers ran up my spine.

"Oh god, you smell like strawberries." My face turned beet red as he buried his nose deeper into my neck and hugged me tighter. "If you wanted to smell me like those scratch and smell car scents you could have just asked." He laughed and I flinched as his warm breath hit my skin.

"When I was little, my grandma would make the best strawberry shortcakes. Every time she came over to visit she'd bring her signature shortcakes. It's the reason why I'm so obsessed with strawberries." I smiled softly at his confession. "Does that mean you're obsessed with me?" I asked while grinning.

"Maybe I am Y/n, maybe I am." I leaned against his chest more, tiredness was beginning to take over. "Could you tell me a story S?" I asked quietly. I felt a hand crawl up towards my hair, twirling a single strand.

"Okay Y/n, just close your eyes and listen, darling. There are two stars that share a forbidden love, Vega and Altair. The star, Vega, was a goddess known as Orihime. She fell in love with a mortal farm boy, Hikoboshi. Unfortunately, Orihime's father discovered their relationship and told the other gods. As punishment, the lovers were placed in the sky and separated by the Celestial River. They are only allowed to meet on the 7th night of the 7th moon each year."

"Well that's not a very happy ending..But I guess their love is beautiful, to care so deeply for someone else, it's amazing. Do you think we'll all end up as stars someday?" I smiled at the thought, I could watch the sky for hours, it was comforting, even in this dangerous world the sky was still the same.

"I think that's a wonderful thought Y/n. I see the way you look at the stars, almost begging them to bring you along. I don't think I'm ready to let you go just yet though, I barely know you yet I can't take my eyes off of you." I felt my body slump as S' words became a distant noise, sleep overtook me.
