Kokichi goes to the Past

What happen Pre-game

So for this story, what happened pre-game is very different form the normal fanon so I'm going to explain/tell it all here.                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kokichi's parents were only 23 when they found out they were having him, although they were a little young, they were happy to have a child even if it was unexpected. Kokichi's family weren't very supported, and even temporarily cut contact but after a bit they realized it wasn't worth it and they should be happy for them. Other than that the pregnancy went well but then Kokichi's mother got kinda sick and Kokichi decided to come early while she was sick and needed surgery due to him coming 1 month early. The surgery went well and she safely delivered her child, but she got cancer (how? don't ask me). The doctors were able to catch it early, but they still couldn't really due anything due to her just giving birth. The doctors determined that she would only be able to live for a few more years, and she put all her effort into her newborn son. She died a month before he would turn 5. His mother had prepared a gift before hand, which he got on his birthday. Although he didn't have any kind of party he understood why and didn't make a fuss about it. Both of Kokichi's parents were great while his mother was alive but shortly after his birthday, his father started blaming him for the cause of his mother's cancer and eventually death. His father started to beat and abuse him. Before he was a kind, smart, and social boy but due to his father's abuse, his personality and actions started to change. He learnt to be quiet and better prepare what he was about to say to avoid a beating. Yet due to this change he lost friends and started to even get bullied in school. He became depressed in middle school because of all that was happening to him, and he had no way to express it. Yet life took a turn as just when he was going towards the suicidal route(This is nothing to joke about by the way, I feel that due to how I put some might take it as a joke. When it isn't at all. Get help if ever feel this way, I just feel this is how normal person would react if something like this ever happened to them.) a new student came to school.  This new student's name was Maki Harukawa, she was a transfer student from a school in the next city. Kokichi was the one who got to give her a tour of the place although he was quiet, he was also very respectful and definitely helped her understand the school better. They managed to finish the tour a class before lunch, so they separated to go to their classes. Maki was going to sit with Kokichi for lunch as he thought that he was a nice guy, but just as she was about to sit down, Kokichi said it would be better if she sat somewhere else and made some more friends. Deciding to listen to him, she sat down at a table that had some people who invited her to sit with them.  They were at first asking general questions that you would ask someone when you first met them, but them they started talking about Kokichi, as he was the one who showed her around, and kept saying things about him that she couldn't help but deem false. Like he was very rude, a bully, or even harassed a lot of girls. He never once really showed those qualities when he showed her around, well kinda being rude as he mainly did non-verbal returns but that wasn't really what she really would deem rude. It was then she realized why he said it better for her not to sit with him, it was because people hated him for no real reason and he didn't want her to get a bad rep due to hanging out with him. She decided to help him and be one of his first friends. She kept trying to be his friend for the next few weeks after that. Protecting him from bullies, keeping him company, or even just hanging out at lunch. Eventually this paid off and she became a close friend of his and just ignored all of people who told he he was no good. She decided to permanently stay in this school, as it was very nice and her parents had gotten some good jobs around there (They went over to this city with her). They graduated middle school together and decided to go to the same high school. Half way through their freshman year though, a new student joined their school. This time it was guy and his name was Shuichi Saihara, he was a bit of an emo boy so after the initial 'everyone wants to be the new kids friend' thing he didn't really have anyone to hang out with.  He decide to hang out mainly with Maki as she was generally a nice person and seemed to have a good sense of justice, but also started to hang out with Kokichi as they were together most of the time. He eventually found Kokichi a friend and liked to hang out with him too. They had no idea about Kokichi's home life, as he never talked about it and they didn't have a reason or need to ask. Well Shuichi didn't care until one day he had to run back to school because he forgot something, but as he was about to leave he heard singing and some music. He followed the sound to a back area of the school where Kokichi was singing and dancing to some music. He was hypnotized by his voice, which sounded amazing, after the song ending Kokichi quickly picked up his stuff while saying stuff about he was late and that his father was going to give him a beating for it. It was then Shuichi realized his home life was probably bad and that was why he never talked about it. He felt bad for the boy and that he was stupid for not realizing sooner even though they walked to school together almost everyday. Shuichi had gained a bit of a yandere mindset due to his parents being kinda neglectful, as they almost never spent time with him unless it was for the press. They did leave him with some good nannies, butlers, and maids though so he wasn't totally alone. He became more possessive over things he cared about and didn't like them being token away from him for no reason. As often had to give up things or hobbies he liked because 'it was bad for their/his reputation'. He was willing to kill for someone/something if the conditions were right. At first he thought that he just wanted to protect him because they were friends but then he slowly started to realize he thought of him as more. He wanted to kiss and cuddle him all day long, give him anything he wanted. So after watching the amount of abuse he suffered from his father, he decided that he could only kill him for all that he made Kokichi suffer. So he made up a fool proof plan to kill him and get away with it.
*6 months until they enter the killing game* ^In the middle of the month^      It was now the perfect time execute his plan, as Maki wanted to take Kokichi to get some ice-cream. He set up his perfect murder, and killed Koichi's father and just as he was done with all the set up to get away with it, Kokichi walked in the door.  Kokichi kinda panicked as Shuichi was standing above his dead father's body with a bit of blood on him. Shuichi also panicked a bit as he didn't expect Koichi to come in right then. He regained composure quickly though and put a drug on a rag nearby. He then started walking towards Kokichi saying he's sorry before drugging him, with a little resistance from Kokichi before he(k) passed out. He finish cleaning up his murder before taking him and Kokichi back to his house. He put Kokichi in one of the spare bedrooms in his house. Since he was sure that Kokichi would freak out when he woke up, he had one of the maids he had to stay outside the door and tell him when he woke up. When Kokichi woke up he did have a bit of a panic attack/mental breakdown, but Shuichi came in and managed to calm him down enough to explain. Kokichi was shocked and even a little disgusted by his thinking.  Shuichi 'offered' for Kokichi to stay with him since he couldn't/shouldn't live alone, but Kokichi knew that Shuichi would make him stay with him either way so he just agreed to make things easier. Also since Shuichi did this on a Friday they would be able to spend the whole weekend together.
*5-3 months until the killing game*
Shuichi worked hard to try and get Kokichi to fall in love with him, he took him out to a lot of places. Such as amusement parks, aquariums, and a bunch of other places, he expressed him care and love whenever he could. Shuichi was very physically affectionate, but he never forced Kokichi to do anything he was uncomfortable with, it was mainly just cuddles, hugs, or kisses on his cheek/forehead. Kokichi was definitely starting to fall for him, but the fact that he had killed his dad made him a bit reserved. All the while Maki hade no idea any of this was going on with her friends.
*2 months until the killing game*
Kokichi and Shuichi are together, and open about their relationship. Some people from school teased them about it, but they were a bit scared of Shuichi as he had threatened them before so it wasn't anything too bad. Maki was supportive of their relationship, she did make Shuichi promise to take good care of Kokichi. They did do the dirty, but both sides had consent. Heck, Shuichi asked multiple times to make sure Koichi was really ok with it and he wasn't forcing him into doing it.
*1 month until the killing game*
The news of a new season of Danganronpa was let out. So Shuichi, a big Danganronpa fan, was excited to audition. He also wanted to convince Maki and Kokichi to audition as well, since they weren't really sure if they wanted to join it. Shuichi managed to convince them to audition, since there was no grantee that they would make it onto the show, and the chances of a lot of people from this area would be able to make it on was very low. Then 1 week before the show would have the people enter the show/game, all of them got a letter saying they were accepted. They were all kinda happy that they managed to get on, but Kokichi started to worry. Since a lot of times the participants memories were messes with, he was scared that they would hate him/each other in the game. Shuichi was the only one who really knew that Kokichi had started to get these thoughts, and he always comforted him about it. He even promised that no matter what they did to his memory or what he might say in the show, he would still always love him so if he ever said anything otherwise it was a lie or the show doing it. This helped Kokichi and now he was braver for getting onto the show. Then the day came and his anxiety started to come back and since they were at the official place and it was time to get into the pods, he didn't have Shuichi to help calm him down he went in very anxious.

*Start of  the Game*
Kokichi woke in the school from the show, which confused him as he knew he wasn't supposed to remember anything from before. Then a splitting head-ache came as memories from what was supposed to be his past came into his mind. He noted how he was supposed to act and decided to just act like that and figure everything out later. The normal start of the game happened and Kokichi just acted like he was programed to. Making a jokes about how the game would be fun and some lies. When he got to his room, he went in and locked the door immediately. Then he sat on his bed as he tried to figure what was going on out, nobody nocked on his door so he was able to think in peace. Eventually he figured out that, there was probably a glitch in the system that aloud him to keep his memories. He was happy at first, but then realized, no one else would have their memories so he was all alone. He then started to figure out which season this school was from, as he had recognized some parts of it, so that he could be aware of all the tunnels that run through the school all, just in case he needed to have a quick escape. After that he started to think of who the mastermind could be, and he had already eliminated some people from the suspect list. Since Danganronpa followed a certain style to which charters played which roles. He had it narrowed down based on what had already happened and their apprentices  to a few people, but he would have to see a bit more of their personalities and actions to figure out exactly who. He decided to act as his fake memories told him to, to let him stay in the game and not reset/retry what had already happened. He started to exaggerate what his second mind was telling him to do, to help sell it better. Yet that also caused some other things to happen quicker as well, such as everyone hating him and Shuichi's harsh line of him always being alone.
