Marsala huffed, trying to catch her breath as she gripped her shoulder to control the blood running down from her wound. She was hiding in a small alley between the warehouse, leaning on the dirty wall as she was loosing her consciousness.

Droplets of rain from the sky fell one by one and she was reminded of the night Rum found her. Rum, it would have been better if you didn't found me ... now, you have someone like Holmes to catch after the organization.

A gunshot was fired, narrowly missed her head and hitting the wall beside her.

"There she is!" Vodka exclaimed.

Marsala clicked her tongue and ran away. The man kept on shooting her but she was quick enough to dodge them and run in different directions.

At the end of the alley was a wall that is almost 3 meters tall, gathering her strength, Marsala used the stray crates on the area and jumped on it to reach the top of the wall and jump down to the other side.

Running. It was her instinct to run away. Ever since she was a kid, to run and run, to escape the clutches of the abusive orphanage and the adults who thought of her as nuisance. Running away from everything is what she does to survive.

Turning to another corner, she was surprised to see Vermouth with her gun pointing at her. "Marsala~" She greeted with a smile and shot her twice, hitting her chest and right leg. She knelt down in pain and threw up some blood.

She gritted her teeth and waited for Vermouth to get closer to her, knowing her wanting to see her target's face before it dies. One step, two step, she was only a foot or two away from Marsala when the brunette suddenly stood, lunged at her and stabbed Vermouth in her ankle and stomach.

"You ..." She growled as she fell down from pain, they heard someone's footsteps and the two women turned, "Bourbon! Kill this woman!"

Marsala clicked her tongue and ran away, trying her best to run fast even though her vision is blurry and she could feel pain all over her body. She made a mistake when she turned to another corner and saw that it was a dead end and the wall was higher than what she can possibly climb in this state.

"Marsala." A voice called behind her.

She turned around and saw Bourbon, panting. "Marsala." He repeated and ran towards her, surprising her with a tight hug.

"What are you doing?" He whispered with a broken tone, whispering near her ears.

Marsala was speechless, her mouth was open, wanting to say to get away but she couldn't. She just gritted her teeth and tears welled up her eyes. Why do I feel like myself when I am with him? Why do I feel all these emotions when I am with him?

He let go and looked at her straight in the eyes, "Let's escape, hurry."

Let's see if we can do that. She just bitterly smiled and nodded, he pulled her to the opposite direction.
