Since I promised Pharm to contact him after the training, I called him as soon as I stepped into my small, kinda empty dorm. It definitely didn't look like a home here. And it didn't feel like a home. But it was cheap and I had been able to move in here very quickly. So for now it was totally fine.

"Alex? Hey, how are you doing? How did the training go?", Pharm asked as soon as he picked up the phone.

"Hey, Pharm. I am doing ... really good. Did you come home safely after school? What have you done this afternoon?"

"Yes. Me and Manow decided to go to my place to study together. She just left. So, do you wanna tell me about the training? Did it go well?", the other one asked. I heard a quietly squeaking noise in the background. Surely he sat down on his bed or couch. I slowly went over to my bed and plopped down on it. Normally I would've answered shortly but I really wanted to tell Pharm every detail about the training. He was already someone I trusted a lot and I knew I could talk to him a lot without him being annoyed of me.

"The training was amazing. I won the first race. Win made me compliments. I didn't know that he could be this nice", I joked with a smile on my face.

"It means a lot when Win makes non flirty compliments.", Pharm said, quietly laughing, "This sounds great. So... are you in the team?"

"Yeah. Dean told me after the training he want me to join. I am official a member of the swim team now, I think", I said proudly and leaned back on the mattress.

"Congratulations. I knew you would make it!", he praised me. I started to blush immediatly.

We kept talking for a while until I heard someone entered Pharms dorm. I heard Deans voice in the background.

"Oh, Dean is with you?"

"Yeah, he just came in", he answered and a heard his smile in his voice.

"Then I will give you some privacy. I will hang up now", I said. Dean and Pharm were very close to each other. I regonized that at day 1. I wasn't totally sure if they were a couple but I didn't want to ask yet. I mean it was private, wasn't it?

"Ah, wait. Do you have time tomorrow afternoon? After the training? I wanted to ask if we could study for the english test together", the 19- years old asked.

"Yeah, sure. We can go to my place", I suggested.

"Great. Then we will see us in school. Have a good sleep."

"Thanks, Pharm. Sleep well. And greet Dean."

We both hung up and my gaze went to the ceiling. My head was full of thoughts. I thought about the training, Pharm, our clique, my first days in Thailand and... my dad. I thought it would hurt less when I was in Thailand but it still hurted so much. I didn't even know why I thought everything would change when I would move to his hometown. When I would go to his old college. Of course it had been only a few months since he passed away but... I wanted this pain to get less. I didn't want the fear of loss coming back to me. Overwhelming me.

I sighed and sat up. I needed to stop thinking for a second. I stood up and grabbed my bag from the ground. Even if I didn't believe in it, I hoped doing homeworks would distract me. Just for a bit

Pharm staid with me for a long time. We studied until sunset. No wonder that he was a great student. He studied with a great passion. But after dinner - which I ordered since I was a terrible cook - he made his way home. I was totally fine it cause I also had some plans this evening. Dean mentioned some special swimming techniques which I had to look up.

But while I sat back on my bed I noticed an open book laying there. Pharm forgot about his English book with all the helpful notes he made. I wasn't sure if he still needed it this evening but probably he planned to keep learning at home. As his friend I should bring him his book. I placed the laptop on my bed, grabbed the book and made my way outside. I didn't own a car ... or a driving license so I had to take the taxi. Luckily I remembered his adress.
