Author's Note - Congratulations Regalia Online! My beloved creation that I believed would have been the least viewed story on Wattpad has reached 800+ views, 30+ votes, and 10+ comments. Although I'm not really counting and I'm generally surprised by this amount of support, I am so happy that I actually can't contain it. Anyhow, this is a pivotal moment within Regalia Online. Shaw and Keisuke have encountered the Golden Knight, a boss monster within the Sleeping Forest that is level twenty!

Chapter Ten - The Fight for the Golden Knight

"Keisuke.. we're going to die. There is no way that we can do this, we're going to die."

No matter the amount of fear that laced through Shaw's voice, he did not turn and run. Instead he held his ground next to his friend who stared at their enemy with an undeniable amount of concentration and determination. Shaw's hands trembled within his robes and his fingers curled into fists as he tried to still his racing heart. Keisuke smiled a bit and tightened his hands around the hilt of his blade pointing it directly at the head of the Golden Knight. The Knight stood firm staring down at the two players with narrowed eyes beneath its' helm. Its snarling companion growled and held its ground eyes darting between the two hoping for one of them to move.

"Shaw. We can't leave the confines of the forest. If we do, the quest will be forfeit and we won't be able to try it again until the next day."

"...How will we know that we're going to exit the forest?"

"Because the Knight will stop chasing you. We don't have enough time, once we accept the quest then the Knight will begin to 'force' us out of the forest. Either way he has to do it, may it be death or by chasing us out. Shaw. Listen to me. This is the only time we'll be able to communicate with one another until the quest is over, so you have to stay focused. The dog will most likely go after you once you try to cast any spell, so you have to keep moving and stay concentrated. Don't be afraid. The knight will come after me because I'm the party leader. When you defeat the dog, -"

"When I'm able t-"

"You can do it!"

Keisuke's eyes met Shaw's and Shaw nearly froze in his place. Keisuke's eyes bore no hesitation, no room for doubt or consideration. He could do this. Keisuke believed in him.

"...Okay. When I defeat the dog.."

"...When you defeat the dog, rush back here immediately. Then we'll take the Knight on together. Understood?"

"But Keisuke, what are you going to do. There is a fifteen level difference! Theres no way that you can handle him. This isn't some type of game that you can j-...this isn't some type of game.."

Keisuke's lips curled up into a smile and he reached out, a small dialog box opening explaining the details of the quest and its rewards but he didn't bother to read them instead simply pressing accept. The fog grew heavier and the dog began snarling and butting its head into the ground. Shaw could feel the fear rising but Keisuke didn't move. He instead smiled and stared up at the Knight who stared him down with fire burning in its eyes.

"...Shaw."

Shaw's eyes darted towards his friend.

"Run."

In a burst of motion, everything occurred. Shaw didn't even have a chance to look back to see where Keisuke was before the dog was on his heels running after him at a fast pace. His breath came out in pants as he ran trying to keep his mind on track while weaving through bushes and over fallen trees. Keisuke rushed towards the Knight who brandished his blade meeting the player in a flurry of sparks as iron met. Both struggled against one another drawing back and clashing once again trying to find an opening in the other's defense.
