"Their friendship is impressive. I wonder if it will last under what we have planned?" The dark, violet-winged figure sat carelessly upon an obsidian chair.
"You will surely break them, Master," a smaller Watcher said.
"Yes, yes I will," the larger Watcher replied. "This will be such an interesting test, I have everything planned perfectly. I can't wait for the pieces to fall-"
"Would you like any ground Chorus Root in your Chorus Fruit tea, Master?" the small Watcher asked.
"Silence! Do not interrupt me while I'm monologuing!"
"Apologies, Master-"
"How dense are you? I said silence!" The small Watcher submissively backed away and lowered its head. "Anyway, as I was saying, they shall be perfect pawns in our tests. Now I am complete, so now you may talk."
"Would you like ground Chorus Root in your tea?" the small Watcher repeated.
"No, I would not. Now, begone, I have a hermit to manipulate."
