"Manners. I'm kai. Kai Parker"

"Oh cool. Nice name. I had a dog named Kai. Well he died."

"Oh that's sad." He laughed. Why is he laughing?

"My actual name is Malachai" he whispered

"Wait really? Who names their kid Malachai?" I replied

He looked like he was genuinely enjoying my company. He started laughing again. God he has a great laugh.

"That's what I said. It's like you read my mind Annette" he said

"Its Andrea" I responded, feeling annoyed. Did he really just call me Annette? What am I a goat?

"Right sorry Andrea" he said, looking unimpressed.

Some time passes and he's still in the bar.
We didn't talk much but he kept staring into my soul like he's never seen a person before. But I didn't bother asking.

"Andiiiiiii" a slurred voice called out

"Heyyyy Liv" I replied. She looked wasted

"So. I'm backkkk and I'm ready to continue my shift. Thank you. Thank you for taking my shift today. You're. The. Bes-" She collapsed. Well as if it wasnt already clear from her whiny tone, she was drunk. Well. Atleast she had fun.

"Whoah whoah calm down. You should go back to our dorm. I dont think you should continue today"

"Noooooo. Its fiii-" she burped. Okay what exactly did Lockwood give her?

"Alright. Stay if you want to but I'm out of here" I stated, getting annoyed.

"Bye bye now" Liv laughed

I went outside but I didn't go because i wanted to make sure she was okay, without being in front of her. And then I heard Kai talking to her.

"So Liv huh?"

"Yes. Olivia Parker. And who the fuck are you?" She snapped at him.

"I think you might know me. Kai? Kai Parker?" He replied

Liv froze. She stopped what she was doing and stared at him with fear in her eyes.

"I- you- No. No it can't be. You're- you're gone" she said

Wait. Olivia Parker stuttering?

"Oh well here I am now" he smiled

"Maybe this will help you remember" he stabbed her with a pocket knife

"WHAT THE FUCK YOU MANIAC?" I screamed

"Oh hey Annette. You should go. Family business. Or better. I'll go. Bye bye now"

He left.

I rushed to Liv's aid. I helped her get to the university and I attended to her wounds

"Wanna tell me what the fuck just happened?"

She hesitated.

"Kai is my brother. In our coven, we have this ritual where a pair of twins merge when they turn 22 and become one, to lead the gemini Coven. Our father didn't want Kai to merge and he acted out and killed the rest of our siblings. Luckily Luke, Jo and me survived his wrath as our father locked him in a prison world. Now that he's out, there's no telling what he'll do to ensure that he kills us all"

"Why did he not want Kai to merge?" I asked

"Unlike other witches, Kai is a Siphon witch. He needs to siphon power off other magical beings or objects to have access to powers which made him different. And our father didn't want someone like him to lead our coven"

"And now he wants revenge on daddy dearest" I stated

"Yes"

"Oh"

I didn't know what to think. The fact that the sweet guy that I met at a bar is actually a psychopath?? I was speechless. But hey when has anything gone my way? Am I disappointed? Yes. Surprised? Not really. But one thing, I was hurt. I've been shutting down my feelings for ages and now I'm hurt because of some guy.
