Y/N's story as the UA traitor

- Chapter 13 - sports festival arc -

It's been a couple days since mr. Aizawa mentioned the sports festival.

Ever since, the class has been working their butts off training.

I focused on hand to hand combat, while also practicing using stray material that pops up in my fights.

Material like branches, any kind of metal, and even debris from buildings.

I'm rather disappointed that I can't use my swords, they're my go-to choice of weapon.

I tried watching some of the older sports festival documents to get insight on what to expect, but the obstacles were different every year.

Now I sit in the waiting room, with the rest of my class.

We're all wearing the training uniforms that UA gave us on our first day. Some people complain, having hoped to show off their new suits.

"EVERYONE GET YOUR GAME FACES ON, WE'RE HEADING IN THE ARENA SOON." Iida comes bursting into the waiting room.

I sit relaxed on a relatively small couch in the corner of the room, Sero sitting on my right.

"Midoriya.."

everyone in the room goes silent as Todoroki casually marches up to Izuku.

"Oh, hey Todoroki. What's up?" Izuku looks up at his towering figure.

Everyone stares at the two students with curiosity.

"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you."

I almost chuckle, but I keep myself firm knowing that now is not the right time.

Izuku stands in shock, and he mumbles a small, "Yeah."

"However, you have Allmight standing in your corner helping you out."

Izuku lightly gasps, and I pay more attention.

'What does he mean, Allmight helping Izuku?'

I see flashbacks to my first day at UA, when I saw Allmight watching us from afar.

'Could that be what he's talking about?'

"I'm not here to pry about what's going on in between you two, but know that I will beat you."

Kirishima puts a hand on Todoroki's shoulder,

"Now hold on, let's not try to make enemies here. And right before the festival?"

Todoroki elbows his hand away.

"We're not here to make friends, don't forget this isn't a team effort."

He starts to leave the room.

"Wait a sec Todoroki." Izuku mumbles under his breath.

"I don't know what's going through your head, or why you think you need to tell me that you'll beat me. And yeah, of course you're better than me.."

I cross my arms.

"In fact, you probably have more potential than anyone in the hero course. That's why you got in so easily,"

Kirishima raises his hands in defence.

"Hey Midoriya, maybe you're being a little to hard on yourself, and us," he sweat droops.

"No. He's right you guys. All the other courses, they're coming at us with everything they've got. We're all gonna have to fight to stand out."

'he's right. I completely forgot that the students from other courses could get bumped up to our hero course. That means if my assignment is to stay where I am, I need to fight.'
