I didn't know what to do anymore

So I ran. I ran far away from the place I used to call home.

It was quite scary obviously considering that I am a seven-year-old girl who has no idea what to do. I ran because my birth mom left. I ran because my dad didn't love me. I ran because I had a horrible step-mom who didn't think twice about me.

"Oof." I say as I ram into a boy about twice my height. "I-I'm so sorry"

"It's alright." He says as I look up and stare into the bright blue eyes of a blonde haired boy around 14 years old. Only then do I notice the girl standing next to him with electric blue eyes and spiky black hair around 12 years old.

" What are you doing here without your parents?" The boy asks me. I don't know how to respond so I just stay quiet and look at the floor. I can't exactly spill everything to a couple of people I just met. I stand there awkwardly as I wait for them to say something.

"So... what's your name?" The girl asks me in a kind tone, despite her fierce looking features. 

"Annabeth." I say softly.

"Well then Annabeth, what are you doing here all alone?" she asks me again. After seeing that I wasn't going to answer her question, she decides to change the subject.

"My name is Thalia and this is Luke." She says gesturing to the boy standing next to her.

"Are you on the run?" The boy asks.

"Y-yes" I say. "How did you know?"

"Because we're on the run too." He says.

"Why?"

"Our families didn't care for us much." he responds.

"Oh. Same." I say. "Where are you going?"

"Paris." He says.

"C-Can I join you?" I ask.

"Sure." He smiles. He handed me a small dagger and they taught me how to fight.

And so our adventure begun...

We were about to arrive in Paris a few weeks later when suddenly a group of people appear from the forrest. They had big guns and looked terrifying.

"RUN ANNABETH!" Thalia screams. I didn't know what was happening so I ran. I ran as fast as I could as tears spilled down my chubby cheeks. When I looked back there was nobody there. I collapsed in a bundle of tears and slowly fell asleep...

When I woke up I expected to see Thalia or Luke there, but was quickly reminded that I was alone. I started sobbing uncontrollably again when I felt some arms wrap around me. My hands immediately went to my leg looking for my dagger. When I felt that it wasn't there I looked around the room to see it lying on a table next to a gramophone. The person holding me turned me around and what I saw shocked me. It was an old man. 

"Hello." He says.

"Hi." I respond, my voice barely a croak. "How did you find me?"

"I saw you lying on the street outside my home and brought you inside." He says.

"Thank you."

"It's quite alright."

"W-who are you?"

"My name is Wang Fu. You can call me Master Fu."

"My names Annabeth Chase."

"What happened Annabeth?" He asks me. I tell him the whole story from why I ran away to the shooting and Thalia telling me to run.

"Oh poor girl." He says. "Would you like a drink?"

5 years later

Master Fu and I grew very close. I am now 12 years old and he has been taking care of me these past five years like the father I never had. He home-schooled me and taught me everything he knew. He even told me about something called the miraculous box. He told me about him being the guardian and how he lost two of the miraculous's and kwami's. He told me more about himself than anyone ever had.

2 years later

I am now 14 years old and Master Fu has decided it was time for me to go to school. I hadn't had any friends in my 7 years of living with my new father figure and to be honest, I was a little bit scared. 

"Annabeth, you'll be alright. If anything happens I'll be here for you okay?" he tells me. 

I hug him. "Thank you master Fu." 

And off to school I went.
