Albie stood on Nina's kitchen table for effect and as she spoke her arms danced with the excitement of the speech. Her booming voice filled the kitchen and neither me or Nina dared move. I was, I'll admit, intoxicated by her arguments when she talked. Finally the kitchen went quiet and Albie got down from the table.

"Albie what the fuck, that was incredible." Nina embraced her and I was left sitting as the two talked frantically about tomorrow's climate march. Occasionally giving out yelps of excitement.

Albie held out her hand in a peace sign and Nina did the same. "We're the revolution baby!" Then they both collapsed to the floor in hysterical laughter.

In the end the two sounded like exhausted hyenas and I hoped the giggling would kill them before I had to. Nina would often rise from the laughter coma first, her face comically neutral. Then Albie would do the same. It's over, I would think.

"Sorry Lilo." Nina managed to get out. "I'm just really tired." Her face went red as she muffled another incoming giggle. "And now a bit mad." Then she collapsed and the two began to cackle like true witches again.

In the days before this climate march Nina had barely had time to speak to me. When she did and I asked her what she was doing, it would be something different each time: handing out leaflets, advertising on social media, contacting influencers, recording speeches...Just hearing about it all had sounded exhausting.

Terrifying too though, if I had not spent days preparing for tomorrow in my own ways I may have strangled both of them. After all, as Albie had rightly said they were 'The Revolution, baby!'.
